I'm still a bit hesitant on the rumors of him and Skriniar going. That's a massive defensive loss on the right side of the field. Milenkovic is decent but a massive downgrade over Skriniar. If that does indeed happen as is likely, id really like to keep Dumfries. I like Darmian for defensive security but I wouldn't want him starting regularly if Bellanova doesn't work out.

How's that strange? That's what 99% of people think. Literally every player in the squad should be sold before Skriniar, or sacrificed to keep Skriniar. Yet here we are again, quick to sell one of our untouchables before even trying to save them.

Anyway, Darmian is not good enough to be a starting player for any serious title contender. Bellanova is also raw as shit so significant growing pains are to be expected. Without Dumfries, we better hope Bellanova has an explosion otherwise we're in for a frustrating right flank next season - a price I'd happily pay if it meant keeping Skriniar.

I know it’s a business, but part of that business is maintaining a level of success and losing 4 of your starting 11 in one go is not the way to do it. Honestly only difficult player to replace would be Skriniar

De vrij was bad last season and would be bench this season

Persic we got his replacement who is potentially better and way younger on lower wages

Dumfries wasn’t even a clear starter.

People are making it seem we are selling Barella, Brozo, Bastoni, Lautaro and a 17 year old starting goalie who is better than Handa in his priMe…

Pretty much, but Inzaghi did go with Darmian in some key matches this season. I also get the feeling he is most willing to let him go.

Keep him, let Bellanova get some top team experience, then sell him next summer. There isn't a discount RB in the market we could get that'd be worth selling Dumfries. Good right backs are tough to come across. The only decent option would be some swap move for Cuadrado but that's extremely unlikely.

We got lucky going from a sensation in hakimi to dumfries. He’s obviously not special like hakimi, but he’s good. He’s the kind of good where you don’t worry if he can match up, but also don’t expect him to be a focal point of the match. I though he’d be a bust for sure trying to follow hakimi, but he hasn’t, We’ve been through so many “maybe” players since the treble that I thought dumfries would be another placeholder type, but he’s not. We won’t strike lightning 3 times in a row, so don’t jump at the chance to make a profit from him after one year!! A little continuity would be nice.
