THats not even in Cavani's case. Harshly spoken with this transfer the main goal would be to weaken Palermo and prevent other clubs from buying him.:flirt:

Sorry, but I refuse to look at the situation through black & blue glasses...and sugar coat this. Cavan is average at best. And we have resorted to cheap and average players using this 'fair play' as a damn excuse. Funny it doesn't seem to be affecting any other team in the world but Inter. Every other big club is still spending money, and buying top notch talent. We aren't. To me, Management is happy with last year's success, and willing to concede everything except the Serie A title...which will keep most fans happy. It's utter and complete bullshit.

Saying we can't afford $30 million for a top notch MF unless we sell Maicon or Mario is the same as pissing on my head and telling me it's raining. It's bullshit.

A versatile forward would have some assists.

Cavani had 0 assists in Serie A last season.

This is a horrible statistic. We can't have such forwards here at Inter.

I hope these rumours die once and for all. Bad deal for 2 reasons.

1. The price which Zamparini demands (20mil€) is way too high of Cavani, he's nothing special.
2. We are pretty much set in attack, if Balotelli leaves, Cavani shouldn't be the replacement.

If we didn't have Pandev, Cavani would be a solid choice as that 3rd or 4th forward who can play in different forward positions. He shouldn't be thought of as a replacement for the likes of Mario however. That's just silly talk. Aguero or Tevez would be good replacements for Mario. Not Edinson Cavani.... no offense to him.

Well said.

If Balotelli will be sold, then we should go for someone like Tevez or Aguerro.. although in reality Cavani will be the most probably replacement. He is worthless for his price, and considering that he don't have secured place in the starting line-up, I think it's just bullshit to pay around 20m for him.

Exactly.

We made millions last year with winning the treble, we shouldn't have to sell our stars just to reinforce other areas.

Get rid of the garbage (Stankovic, Muntari, Suazo, Mancini) and get a solid mid.

Someone should burn this thread, Cavani isn't even half as good as our least good striker (Pandev).

Dont agree about Deki being garbage, he is still effective in Calcio as DM.

and versatile, which in Inter is very, very important... We know he can play in every position in the midfield, and his long shots can bring us good..

I dont want to see an Inter that is "good enough for Calcio" thats a pussy Mancini mentality.

We need real creative talent around Sneijder if we want to build a midfield that can be consistent all year long.

I didnt mean it in that he himself is garbage. But I meant it in the sense that Inter has to "take out the trash". Stankovic isn't good enough for the direction Inter are going in now.

If he stayed for a sub role then I guess its okay. But Muntari, Suazo, Mancini remain garbage (the true sense lol)

Deki garbage, man that's a shocking thing to say. He's probably been one of my favourite Inter players over the years.

Cavani to Napoli would be great news, i think that will feel like a stone falling of the chest of most people here, we can relax abit then.

Regarding Stankovic, then he isnt a great player and has never been one, but his workrate and ethics are without question and its not like he is as dumb and useless as Muntari.

He is a decent backup player for sure.

Found some hilarious stuff on wikipedia though.

"Deki", as he is nicknamed in Italy, is best known for his effective, accurate passing and creativity as well as his ability to score goals from long distance.

 Ok which Stankovic fanboy from this site wrote that on wikipedia?
