idk if it's not obvious, but that comment was tongue in cheek. I think the chances of us winning scudetto are 0.00%. still we have a better chance than them insert_troll_face

oh c'mon you don't believe that, this is currently the worst EPL season in terms of big teams, only City and Arsenal really bringing it

remember how Liverpool were 2 games away from being champions with a shittier team than Arsenal has right now? It's doable, yo. Right now both Giroud and Ozil are in form, if Ramsey, Sanchez and Walcott hit it off, then they are the main contenders for sure.

Today's game - Leicester vs. Manchester City - will determine if Leicester can really bring the heat in the second half of the season.

The most impressing part of what Arsenal has done recently is how they have performed well at the same time as they have had a third of their first team players out at some point within this month.

Wilshere (Still out)
Cazorla (Still out)
Welbeck (Still out)
Sanchez (Still out)
Arteta (Still out)
Flamini (Still out)
Rosicky (Still out)
Coquelin (Still out)
Gibbs (Still out)
Koscielny
Walcott

I haven't watched much of Arsenal this season but it seems like 6 of them are central midfielders. Seriously imagine if this had happened here and how we probably would have done.

Most of those players have always been injured for long periods in different seasons, that is by no means impressive Jrgnsn. If anything, it's incompetence at it's best from Wenger.

Yeah me and Javier's Son have had this discussion already. Nobody is to blame for Arsenal's injuries but Arsenal. They can't be "unlucky" every year. They just aren't doing something over there physically that other teams in the league are doing.

You guys have completely missed my point as I'm not blaming anyone for this. I'm saying that I find it amazing that Arsenal is performing as great as they do as they have a pretty deep team in some areas. Who would be our 5th and 6th choice on the central midfield? This indicates for me that Arsenal is prepared for these situations which may be because they are used to it but never the less have we seen a team like Roma getting ripped off because they weren't as prepared. This could be the excuse Mancini has for why we has 7 backs in the team ;)

And I do agree with both of you as a team like Arsenal should have figured out what they do wrong. Looking at the injury history for some of these players are a bit scary. Especially because some of them didn't have as many injuries before they signed for Arsenal.

Yeah no I do agree that Arsenal has a deep squad these days. This is their best chance to win it and part of me hopes they do. The part of me that doesn't is just because I have Arsenal fans as friends and they have been delusional for so long.

Let's go Leicester!

But they also find themselves in a similar situation every bloody year for the last decade, performing well and hanging at the top with an anorexia-like (very thin!) squad and barely managing to qualify for the knock out stages of the CL with one impressive win against a big team (2-0 vs Bayern this season). Sometimes they alternate their good form to the 2nd half of the season instead of the 1st when it's basically too late to salvage anything.

They might go on in the 2nd half and keep performing well and improving with the injured players coming back and Wenger finds himself with pleasant issues to deal with (whom to start/play) but if judging by history, they will suffer and diminish as the season goes on. Of course Wenger can avoid that by reinforcing in key areas in Jan but again looking back at the past he has rarely done just that.

I was sure man city was going to win. But then again, I was also sure this was going to be a spectacular match and unfortunately it wasn't. You would expect something more from a top table match of the league which many consider the best.

There are a lot of CMs at the club, but the depth isn't necessarily good. The 5th/6th choice is Flamini and Arteta, who are players that most fans want to get rid of. I'm glad that Wenger is rectifying this by signing that Elneny guy. I'm hoping that he's at least a competent passer of the ball and prevent Flamini from playing. I still think the team needs another quality CM (in particular, a CDM). I would be more confident in terms of title chances if Wenger signed some more players in January. The team, as of right now, is inconsistent. For every Man City performance, there's a garbage one (Southampton). I'd love to get another wing forward (like Nolito) so I don't have to see Gibbs being useless on the wing anymore too!

I would say in general, there is depth, but the quality of the players is lacking. That's why Wenger overplays players like Coquelin, Bellerin, and Sanchez because of the gulf in quality between them and the backups. The fact that he doesn't rotate these players is part of the reason why the team has accumulated so many injuries. I'm not even sure why these players get injured so often (perhaps the team needs to dope ).

Incredible that another 0-0 at home to a team in the bottom 5 has somehow improved Van Gaal's position. Once again they were unable to break down a team that simply defended in numbers against them. They are shit, Van Gaal is a fucking joke. They are so fucking toothless, so many shit/average players who are just living off their name such as Rooney and Schweinsteiger.
