The two Albanians who attacked the Serbian players because they took the flag down started the whole thing. There wouldn't have been a fight if they had just let them take the flag down instead of reacting like they were in the middle of recording a new Die Hard movie. This does of course not justify the reaction from the Serbs but the way the two Albanians behaved was just what the Serbs nationalists wanted as it could be used as an 'excuse' for this. This is exactly what I wrote about letting the 'monkeys' sing whatever they want to as they will stop if people didn't get offended by it. Now the Serbian nationalists feel Albania won and will react even worse the next time meanwhile the Albanian nationalist with their drone feel like they can keep on doing this drone-flying shit.

Jesus dude. Where did you see this attack? Go watch the footage again. Two Albanian players rushed to the flag, yes. But they never punched or attacked the Serbian players. They were trying to grab the flag off their hands, yes. Again, never attacked them. Go watch the footage again. Also the match had already stopped twice because of flares on the pitch + objects were being thrown constantly on the pitch. Not to mention some Serbian hooligans were trying to get into the pitch before the drone made an appearance (@ 6:17 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugVW6NPbP6w). This match was never gonna end in 90 minutes, with or without the drone.

Attack is a wrong explanation for the word I tried to find. Confrontation is probably more right.

My point with this is why did the two Albanians interrupt the Serbians players that took the flag down? Why "confront" them like they just have pissed on the flag. It was especially a stupid move by them as - like you write - some of the Serbians tried to rush the field before this situation and the two Albanians therefore should be adult enough to see what reaction this will have. Let them take the flag down and do whatever they want to. A thousand people burned, pissed and jumped on my flag because of the Muhammad cartoons even though I didn't had anything to do with drawing them. Should I feel offended and react like an idiot to this? The only result would be even more people doing shit. The best thing to do is by killing it with silence and I thought - as I said - the two Albanian players were clever enough to know this.

I fucking hate nationalists and other groups of people interrupting football matches, singing shit songs and throwing stuff. That is exactly why I think the punishment to Serbia should be even more strict as the Serbian FA must do something about this. However I think the way the two Albanian players reacted and the whole saga with the drone also should have a consequence other than just a fine to the Albanian FA, as I don't think they will do much about this as they 'won' this.

We will never find out if the match would have ended even if this drone thing not had happen.

While a flag might not be important from where you are from, it's a pretty important thing in Balkan or even in the US. If you grab, drag or burn someone else's flag, they'll find it disrespectful and insulting. You might hate nationalistic people, but these parts are filled with them, no matter the country. It's just a different mentality.

Believe me, I wish that match ended up in a peaceful matter, but it was clear from the get-go it wasn't going to. I just hope the returning leg ends in a better spirit.
