Honestly I think that wouldnt be a bad idea unless we're giving him serious time. At 17 Prato would be a good level for him, he would be ahead of most kids at his age who are trying to break into primavera.

Nah. I prefer we send him (out on loan or permanently back to primavera) ASAP. That way, as you say, we only have 2 strikers and hopefully that'd be the kick in the ass we need to get moving and sign some forwards rather than waste more time going through our yearly rotation of buying and selling defensive midfielders.

No there are literary 25 option to consider before Bonazzoli. Handanovic as SS is more likely.

If there is any possible postive to not getting any more forwards, i'd say that Bonazzoli could benefit from this and maybe grow a more as a player with some minutes. But sadly, not even that, cause as the Black Jesus said, Mazzarri would use his mother as a FW before using a 17 y'o.....

That's my assumption and I won't hold it against him until all 3 players are injured but as long as any one of Palacio, Osvaldo and Icardi are 60% fit then we'll be playing 3511/361 before Bonazzoli gets a minute.

It will be interesting to see how long he can hold out on playing him. I'm sure there will be a few occasions throughout the season where that scenario will occur, especially if we go a decent depth into the EL.

Although it would be a pleasing, heart warming & feel-good story for him to break into the side and have regular appearances, the fact of the matter is it will be unlikely. To be selected as part of the squad and train full time with the senior side is a massive experience and achievement in itself.

The brutal truth is that at his age he simply wouldn't have a clue or expertise to play out half a game let alone carrying the responsibility of regular appearances.

Getting a taste of that level through some 5 to 10 minute cameos is ample for someone his age.

I agree with the logic and the past experiences support it as well, but I think people generally feel confident of his chances to play a bit because:
- he obviously has a great record in youth teams,
- Balotelli broke through at that age as well,
- 3 competitions to play.

I agree. Time in the coppa would be good, but clubs were pasted for fielding youth or second string line ups in the past on the basis that the league figured they didn't care for the competition.

I don't think anyone is implying that he'll take a spot before Icardi, Palacio or Osvaldo (you'd be crazy to suggest he would) but that he may get an opportunity. Being a 10 minute appearance in a coppa match would be good.
