I'm wondering what the agreement will be. Do we have to pay them something? (them using their option, we buying him back with a premium)

Anyway, Dimarco seems like a flexible player as he has indeed played LWB and LCB this season. Very valuable player in that sense, just like Darmian.

Also he's club-trained, my favourite subject. That's one first team player less we need to register to free spots (17) in the CL list.

5 goals this season. That’s pretty fucking solid. His left foot is special, definitely could add something to our team imo.

He's also played LCB a lot recently, which could be useful. Not sure Conte would go for a CB that short though.

that sweet sweet left foot.

I don't rate his defense much, but as a wingback, he should be decent enough. He's at least on par defensively with Theo and Gosens.

Plus he's from Milano and a diehard interista.

Only scores sick goals. Bring him back.

As others have mentioned, he's club-trained, can play both LWB and LCB, he's got a fantastic left foot and a good eye for a pass. He's a threat from set pieces and despite looking like a tatooed midget, he's deceptively fast too. I wouldn't say he's great defensively, but he's not a liability like Theo Hernandez either. I don't even need to mention his low cost and his desire to play for this club.

What I'm trying to say is, he's the perfect development project and rotation player in the exact position we need one. This is exactly the kind of "concession" that Conte needs to make.

We're hearing non-stop reports about immense financial strain on the club, Zhang asking players to take a paycut or deferral of wages etc. All these things considered, under these circumstances, going out and buying a fucking piece of shit like Emerson, when we have Dimarco available, would be the single biggest dickheaded thing we could possibly do.

I'm Ok with Dimarco-Perisic left and Hakimi-Darmain right. Dimarco has probably more margin of improvement than Emerson/Alonso.

Yeah well said here.

Also the rumor is apparently Verona wanted a discount to the option. No one really knows what was the real option because of the conflicting reports but anyway, we ain't got got money for discounts. Dimarco back is simply better for Inter than sell him for few millions. He can learn from Darmian how to handle the different roles in our setup as the flex-guy.

STILL I wouldn't be surprised if we try to sell him to get Emerson on loan or something. :D

Emerson did have the one decent season for Roma and then he went off to Chelsea and has almost done nothing of consequence since. He doesn’t provide goals, he doesn’t provide assists. His salary is probably double (triple?) what Dimarco makes. He would have fit in perfect during our banter era years when we were buying average players left and right.

It’s almost a no-brainer if there’s some type of internal conflict of who we should bring in. Also not that it matters a whole lot but he’s a born and bred Interista. Players will always give a little something extra to the club they’ve loved and supported since a kid.

Love they wanted a discount on an already low option while if he was owned by Verona they would value him at 20m after the season he had.

Complete with the tag-line "He had the same goal contributions as Theo Hernandez!", Verona would start the bidding at 20m + Pirola and Esposito.

Well Verona has decide to redeemed these loaned player, I guess this is obligatory loan and Di Marco's is just an option type loan.

Why don't Verona just take the option and take profit by resale him? Well, I don't know, maybe that all their transfer budget, they probably had to wait to sale Zaccagni or someone else, or it might related to Salcedo.
I can only guess it's all down to Di Marco, he simply want to coming back and would refuse any other option.
Remember the last time we face Verona, after the game Conte go to Di Marco and tell him something.

Now the storyline is Verona doesn't want to let Dimarco go and they haven't asked for a discount. Radu might go to Verona if Dimarco comes back to Inter.

These transfer stories are getting kept alive by the reporters. It feels nothing has been even negotiated yet, it's just projections by the reporters.

Apparently in Italy if you sign a loan deal, you _have to_ sign the full contract that underpins that as well. If Verona have an option on Dimarco and we dont have a counter-option, there's no easy way for us to keep him.

Yeah apart from negotiating it with Verona. Though I'm not sure who actually wants what here. Is it Inter or Dimarco driven? If it's done that they buy him, then we buy him back by swapping him to Radu, I guess that's fine. We get some nice plusvalenza for this year and then we get a new LWB without spending a dime.

Federico Dimarco has developed into a complete defender with great character while at Hellas Verona, according to head coach Ivan Juric.

Inter are thought to be working on a deal to recall Dimarco at the end of the season, despite Hellas Verona’s intentions to exercise an option to sign him permanently.

The 23-year-old is expected to come back and act as a back-up for Ivan Perisic at left wing-back, but he could perhaps even be useful to Antonio Conte as a centre-back.

“It was a bit of a crazy idea to play him in a back three, and he made his mistakes at the start,” Juric told reporters in his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Crotone (via TuttoMercatoWeb).

“He has more freedom to play as a centre-back though; when you play as a wing-back, you’re always out wide.

“When Dimarco does his defensive duties well he brings us lots of quality, helping us outnumber opponents and giving us more options.

“He can’t play there when he has physically built strikers who move into his area, but I’ve liked him a lot as a third centre-back, even if I think he’s more of a left-back.

“Fede has saved us, he’s given us so much.

“He even insulted me the other day, when he scored he unleashed his character.

“That’s fine by me.”

Inter are hoping to secure Dimarco’s return for free, given that he is still on loan from the Nerazzurri, but Juric admits he would be very disappointed if Hellas Verona agreed to such an arrangement.

“I lose sleep at the thought that I’m doing other clubs’ work for them,” Juric explained.

“Dimarco had never played much and we’ve done a lot of work with him, so losing him for a little fee or nothing would be a shame.

“I don’t know (his future) though, these are issues I wanted to get into and find out about.

“I’m not sure about Dimarco’s future or that of Eddie Salcedo.”

Dimarco has scored five goals and provided five assists for Hellas Verona this season, most recently scoring in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to Torino.

Its great to have him back. He improves every season and imo, was one of the best LB in Serie A this season. Of course he shouldn't be our first option, but in the near future he can improve more and take this position.
