Given the way our management looks lately, I'm not sure a buyback is a given.

just scored vs Napoli and looks 10 times better than Young and Perisic... If we really cant bring him back, cause our managment fucked up, then someone should be fired.

What about his defence? That's crucial too.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was his fuckup that lead to Napoli's opener :D

I am firmly in favor of bringing him back to compete for a starting spot btw.

Looks like a really good plusvalenza option so we can keep paying Perisic's and Young's wages.

Leave him at Verona until the end of the season, for sure. With Young probably leaving at the end of the year, Dimarco hopefully enters the rotations heavily.

I almost never wished any of our youngsters to "make it" but this guy's talent and our LWB problem together seem like more than a mere coincidence. We should really try to bring him back after this season and give him the chance under Conte's system.

Goal and an assist today, SHOULD be a no brainer to buy him back. With the current financial situation we really can't make a big buy for the left side, so buying Dimarco back and having Perisic there too who's getting more experienced in his new role.

Actually his goal was given as a Parma own goal :pazzini:

Absolutely no-brainer to bring him back next season though, especially considering our financial situation and with Young likely leaving.

We don't necessarily have the option to bring him back. If Verona exercise their option to buy him, he's gone.

I had seen reported that we retained the right to a counter option? Although I'm not 100% on the validity of the reports. If that's true I suspect Verona would have to buy him outright this financial year and we would have to pay a higher fee in the next year.

FIGC have abolished buyback clauses so we couldn't add it officially but i wouldn't be surprised if there's a gentlemen agreement between the clubs like with Pinamonti and Vanheusden.

It says Inter has buyback option. I know its not an official site, but I do not think Inter will agree to buy option for Verona in the amount of only 6 mio if Inter do not have the rights for buyback

2015: FIGC bans co-ownership, clubs use loans w/ purchase options & counter-options instead
2019: FIGC bans counter-options, clubs include gentlemen's agreements instead
2023: FIGC bans all transfers :einstein:

Even if Verona take the option and we have no buyback clause, the player still has the last say, right? So if Inter declares interest in him , he can just not agree to a deal with them.

That rarely happens tho. The good player we loan usually go and the bad players stay for the paycheck.
