Experience and determination: With his arrival at the Nerazzurri, Francesco Acerbi opens a new chapter in his professional career. His professional career began in the ranks at Pavia, which was the start of a long apprenticeship and the foundations of a career built piece by piece. After loans at Renate and Spezia, he returned to Serie B after signing for Reggina, where he became a pillar of their defensive line. The following year he made the step up to Serie A for the first time. He wore the Chievo jersey, making his debut in the top flight. Then came a short stint at AC Milan before a five-year spell with Sassuolo, where he established himself as one of the best-performing defenders in the league, also earning a call-up to the national side. The 2018/19 season saw his arrival in Rome, on the biancoceleste side, where he won an Italian Cup and an Italian Super Cup with Lazio. He then added the title of European champion with the Italian national team to his trophy collection in the summer of 2021. Now, it is time for a new adventure.

He will wear #15. Great choice. Young, Joao Mario, Ansaldi, Vidic, Ranocchia, Krhin, Dacourt, Andy van der Meyde, Carini.

I don't mind this if it's truly a dry loan. He can serve the Ranocchia role against the minnows and in the Coppa.

We simply cannot pay Lazio any money to redeem him. They do not want him, they do not need him, and his wages are too high to rot on their bench.

Two days before the Derby, a true Bbilan' fan joins our team.
Peppino Prisco will be turning in his grave.
Bad omen, bad omen...

Didn't want the guy from the get go, but I was against the Darmian signing as well. Hope he's as useful as Darmian was in his first season. He's on the team so I'll support him for now. Welcome and do us proud! FORZA INTER.

Awful, I would rather play anyone at CB then watch his ugly ass wearing Inter shirt. Hopefully fans will give him hard time.

I don't think we've gotten weaker. We just aren't as strong as we could have been.

Lukaku is surely better than Dzeko. Gosens is worse than Perisic, but the difference is quality isn't nearly as wide as Lukaku to Dzeko. Our bench reinforcements are all reasonable. Adding Dybala and Bremer to our current squad would have been a coup, but clearly that was always just a pipe dream.

My complaints about this Mercato are all financial in nature. We chose an expensive loan of Lukaku over a free transfer of Dybala. We failed to extend or sell Skriniar and de Vrij, and as a result two of our starting defenders are on expiring contracts with a ton of leverage. As I've posted elsewhere, we have something like 12 players under contract for next season. We haven't meaningfully reduced our wage bill. We're not taking any meaningful steps towards profitability beyond relying on plusvalenza and lower amortization expense.

Had to be the most predictable piece of business in years. If it’s a dry loan with absolutely no chance of redemption, then whatever. He can be Ranocchia easily enough. If it’s anything more, then I have no words.
