I agree with Chivu as a failure. But i dont know about being as bad as Matrix.

Personally, i want Chivu at left back, so that way he can still attack and help in set pieces both attackingly and mainly defensively.

We need a new CB. Samuel is impossible and King wont happen either.

In order to find a "solution" to this, let's count up the mistakes each player makes Vs Brescia, and see if Matrix takes more blame since Cordoba makes a lot more IMPORTANT tackles and anticipations.

It's not the place to discuss this but overall this is how i rate our centre backs this seasonexcluding goal ratios etc etc)

First... Chivu will not be a failure at CB,he has been playing that role for 3 years at least and doing it brilliantly,if its a kind of sweeper we want and not a man marker to partner Cordoba,he is on the top of the list of attainable players...

Second just because some person posted his opinion that Chivu is short doesnt make it true,so stop taking it as a given in all ur posts.Thankgod some people have sense to get his height and compare it with other players in the same position.Now i am sure 3 cm's less than Nesta isnt that big of a deal now right? especially that our best defender happens to be the shortest starter in the back !!!!

Third stop dogging Matrix,he might not be the most talented,or the best tackler,his judgement can be disasterous sometimes,but he isnt the worst human being that u make him out to be and he is not the worst defender in the world.He made mistakes yes but who didnt in this lineup?!

In his defence Matrix has been outstanding in the air,while another certain defender hasnt.Also if ur thinking of fouls the i can remmember that other extremely favored defender making tons of fouls that werent neccessary at all which resulted in goals,in CL games,against our biggest rivals!

People forget how bad Miha was and just because he scored those masterpieces of free kicks they forgive him(some at least).In reality i really think Inter is better off defensively with Matrix next to Cordoba than Miha there.
Once again are defence looked better with time dont forget.So maybe it was gelling that was needed more than anything.

I think i was judging both today on their contributions defensively to the Inter of 04-05 season...I didnt know i had to be clear about that because Miha wasnt an Inter player 4 years ago and i hope Matrix wont be 4 years from now

No of cause not, it was only meant as hypothetical comparison.

Of cause we can't use it to anything, but it shows that Matrix is not a talented defender, and therefor it's wird that a team of Inter have him since we should only have talented players and not some who literally have huge flaws, like Matrix has. If you look at Matrix skills then he should have played for a midiocre side or the bottem of the Seria a and not for a top club.

Ziyad, I loved Materazzi, but now he is a liability. Look closer at the Messina games, he was responsible for two goals and our loss. Miha makes mistakes but makes up for them.

When is the last time Materazzi won us a game? I can remember when he made us lose some points.

Also, his aerial duels always involve him elbowing players. I pray somtimes that there is no video technology during the game, otherwise, he'd be sent off at least 10 times. We have had enough of him, we don't want him, not even on the bench. Bring back Adani!

I want us to bring that Giant of Chelsea's. Huth would defenitely give me confidence when it comes to aerial duels and he aint back when the ball is on the ground defending wise. Pitty he is not a regular a Chelsea.

Right guys, this is not a contest between players. I'm not saying Materazzi is better than Chivu. I'm saying Cordoba+Materazzi is better than Cordoba+Chivu.

To me, with Cordoba+Chivu we'll still have a big problem defending free kicks. To people saying that Chivu is only 3 cm shorter than Nesta, I don't care, he's not as good as Matrix defending headers, that's my opinion.
