So it's gonna be also UEFA Champions League for Primaveras. If i understand correctly, a youth team will participate in this competition, if a first team is gonna play there.

Yupp, UEFA wants to ruin an innocent competition and get some of that action once they see there's TV deals and such.

I much prefer the NGS concept of the best youth teams facing each other, not the youth of best teams concept of UEFA.

I agree, so many champions league quality clubs have below average youth teams. And all the youth talent will shift towards the top club to play "champions league football". It will make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

I disagree. No youth player goes into football so he can win the youth champions league. They do it so they can win the Champions League proper.

Its obvious just from looking at history that, especially in the last 20 years, the best youth team is not correlated with the best first team. Look at Ajax, for example, producing stars for fun. Barcelona is the only real exception where the youth team consistently produces top players (imho) whilst supporting a top first team.

United, Liverpool, Juventus, etc, all do it in spurts.

I don't think any youth players will move for 'youth' champions league football. They might move because of the exposure they recieved in it (like Joao Carlos did to Liverpool last year), but not specifically for it.

You pretty much said you disagree, then agreed with me. Joao Carlos is a good example. What do you think champions league football will do for these young kids? Get them exposure. You play against the best talent in the best competition AND on TV. If you have any talent you are guaranteed to get found. Clubs like Sporting, Ajax, and Barcelona may be an exception to the rule. But who is going to stay at Aston Villa if they have the opportunity to come play in the youth CL. The only way small clubs will be able to combat this is by offering time in the first team. Which at that point the probably wouldn't be playing much youth football anyways.

Youth players move to the clubs where they have the best chance for success. Clearly this isnt always true, e.g. english poaching in serir a, but look how many of those players have made it, and how many from smaller ckubs have made it. No one is moving to a club on the basis of ebeing offered youth cl experience. A club being in the youth cl will offer no additional incentive over previous - as i said a club in the cl offers no guarantee of making it. If it did theyd never sign first team players.

I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Kids will move to top clubs for the youth CL exposure. It's not just about being at the big clubs, most of them won't ever sign a senior contract with that club. However, it will be whats best for their career because of the exposure. Unless they are going to be playing first team football at their original club.

Saying people will move ror youth cl is little different to saying someone will move for th viareggio or for nextgen. There are plenty of youth competitions out there already

Anyone got a stream for todays match?

The game will be played on an artificial turf besides Lerkendal (Rosenborg's stadium), not Lerkendal itself, due do the bad condition. So good chance for bad view...

INTER: 1 Dalle Vedove; 2 Bandini, 4 Donkor, 5 Pasa, 3 Donkor; 6 Olsen, 7 Del Piero; 8 Acampora; 10 Garritano; 11 Belloni; 9 Forte.
A disposizione: 12 Smug, 13 Zaro, 14 Ferrara, 15 Tassi, 16 Gabbianelli, 17 Terrani, 18 Bocar.

the website has fucked up and put donkor twice. most likely the 2nd 'donkor' is actually MBaye, but possibly Eugelfi. Also more interesting to note, this is basically exactly the line up i highlighted a week ago as our perfect primavera line up :p I guess Benassi is injured or something
