Sky Sports Deutschland will stream Bundesliga and Zweite Liga games for free this weekend due to coronavirus.

Scratch that. DFL decided to suspend the league at least until 2 April. There goes our last chance to watch football this weekend.

Several players tested positive. They may change their decision on restarting.

That was always the risk. I can't see how any league will have 0 players testing positive - I am sure there will be a few cases in Serie A and La Liga as well.

It's anyway stupid to think that things will change in 3-4 months... i think there are only 2 options.
1) playing again but trying to find a way to pay attention (which is of course difficult in a group sport like football, there will be always some player who get's the virus, at last 5 players in every league, if not more)
2) no football till the first months of 2021, when there is a vaccine.

With Sane purportedly on the verge of a transfer to Bayern, guess this means Perisic won't have his loan extended

Not connected. Perisic was always going to be a backup at Bayern and with Coman being injury prone they may still redeem him.

Now it's reported Merkel has pushed the date of Bundesliga return at 22 May earliest.

I think they still have to decide on the official date, but it will be either the 15th or the 22nd: https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1258030574851313665?s=20

Either way, ich werden ein groß Fan von Deutsch fußball.

Surely it is connected. They might go for a cheaper backup as Sane will ask a ton.

16th! It's happening!

And it restarts with a Dortmund-Schalke derby!

Bundesliga has officially restarted. It felt weird without fans. One of the best things about Bundesliga games is the atmosphere in the stadiums. Easy win for Dortmund in the derby against Schalke (4-0) which keeps their hopes for the title alive. Leipzig dropped points against Freiburg and things are getting even tougher for them. Bayern are playing tomorrow in Berlin against Union.

Hakimi is genuinely phenomenal as a wingback.

I thought Frankfurt would be tougher after the suspension of play than they would've been before, when they were in dreadful form.

Very happy it didn't play out that way today.

Can someone make sure Bayern doesn't win? Tired of seeing the usual outcome.

MD 28: @ Dortmund (May 26, 16:30 CET)
MD 30: @ Leverkusen (TBA)
MD 31: vs. Gladbach (TBA)

Those are your best chances at seeing Bayern dropping points, and at least the two Borussen teams are in the title race (Leverkusen is just slightly further off the pace). Their other games (home to Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Freiburg, and away to Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg) aren't terribly likely to see them losing points, I'm afraid.

Anything is possible but for me it looks unlikely. It's Bayern title to lose.

I had high hopes for Leipzig this season but they have been very inconsistent in the second round. Gladlbach are a very interesting team and it's very exciting to watch them but i feel they're missing the mentality to fight for the title. Dortmund have been great lately but they were fucking around in the first round and they woke up too late. Der Klassiker is their last change to stay alive in the title fight. On the other hand, Bayern have been very consistent since Flick replaced Kovac. In 16 league games, they have 13 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. It will require a choking from Bayern to see another team winning the title this season and they don't do that often.
