Hakan should ask Miki and Onana how life is in EPL. Especially, at West Ham, the worst London team as we speak:)

Well, if it happens, it should be next year. 47 mil Euro, say 50 is good. Asllani should get a chance. Most likely Miki would not be there after the next season. so new blood, that 50 mil would help a lot to get a Miki's replacement and extra regista. Kinda Brozo situation, but Hakan' s sale would bring double the money than Brozo did.

Just a tip Davit, you can hit “edit” and add to your original post rather than making a new one. Makes it a little neater.

Wait until Euro, see Turkey going to semifinals leaded by Hakan beating Portugal. Sell him to Chelsea for 120mil, then get 3 players for that amount, and one of those players is a random German dude who plays regista as Cala and becomes a top player with the change. And by the way, see Hakan flopping big time there.

Let’s be honest there isn’t going to be any market for Hakan. Certainly not for enough money that would really move the needle or make it worth considering losing him.

Yeah, he will probably stay our starting player until he's 34, at the minimum. Just like we never really considered selling Brozović until we had two replacements for his position.

Milan bought him (15-20mil?), helped him settle in the league, and delivered him to our door, entirely free of charge.
This is hilarious 😂 kinda reminds me of the joke about Griezmann by Atletico fans: "brought 120M to the club, forced Barca to give them Suarez for pennies, and not to renew Messi’s contract. Underperformed for Barça to help Atlético win the league. We should erect a statue of him"

Id say that 40 mil is the high end of any offers we may get for him. Saudi clubs included. That being said he is invaluable for us at the moment. Then again the same was said about Brozo.

Yes, maybe not for the money which would move the needle for us, but make no mistake there will be a market for Calhanoglu. Probably the best midfielder in Serie A this season.

His wages are so high already though that
A) there won't be shit tons of offers, but few for certain
B) he isn't probably interested in leaving Milano

He’ll also be 30 in February. You just don’t see players with an age starting with 3 selling for big money. Unless their name is Ronaldo of course.

This thread sounds a lot like a lot of you think it s easy replacing him cause we got lucky with hakan/brozo....
Usually you dont replace a midfielder that is crucial to your play just like that....especiallly not if he s on the level of brozo/hakan....
also while we were all kind of laughing at hakan for saying his a top 5 mid before the cl final..
By now i have to say he probably was right back then....
Unless we get an insane offer hakan should not be touched....

Selling Hakan would've been dumbest move this club could make. Not going into details but his impact in this team has been exceptional. Just the fact that he's managed to outplay Brozo in that position, is enough to realize how important is to keep him.

yeah selling hakan is a suicidal move right now, but unfortunately, maybe the zhangs/suning will use this opportunity to cover their Oaktree debt that would be due to May 2024. the board should know their replacement on Hakan for now.

its unpopular opinion and I would not want it to happen, but I would rather sell Barella and replace him with Frattesi than sell Hakan, his position and role would be much more difficult to replace

That's probably because you're a junkie :D

Hakan is doing very well, and we all liked Brozovic, but realistically you can find a replacement if you're looking hard enough. Obviously you'll have to pay to ensure quality, but this uncomfortable discussion of selling one of the two should never be answered with "Barella should go".

Let's hope Frattesi scores two against Real Madrid and 3 against City and gets sold.

He might get good enough in the future, but I'd rather keep Barella than sell him and hope for Frattesi to pan out.

This. Replacement needs to be absolute top quality who can slot in immediately. With our way and budget, his replacement is someone who needs one season with the team, we cannot afford to buy absolute top quality. We need to make that from the players we get for cheaper.

Not particularly worried about Hakan leaving unless a too good to be true contract offer arrives and there’s a fair transfer fee involved. Unlikely outside of SA imo.

I think he’s very attached to the club and fan base for how we’ve embraced him after Milan fans wanted him out and harass him. Plus I think he realizes he’s playing at a very high level here and earning a solid wage. I predict he stays at least another 2-3 years but who knows.

Marotta: “The plan is to instal Barella as the regista and Frattesi as RCM. Mkhitaryan is an important part of our project and will play until he loses all his hair.”

Then add some serenità and fiducia talk here and there… Hakan to be sold for plusvalenza at the grand old age of 30. Club is sustainable. Stevie stays at the helm and Marotta masterclass.
