Tigran is still a popular name in Armenia. The origin is Iranian-Armenian. So we had a few kings and there are still last names like Tigranyan. But that was before Christianity, pagan names. Most last names carry biblical based last names these days. Petrosyan, Hakobyan, Sargisyan, Isahakyan, Movsesyan and so on.
