Inzaghi post match conference interview:

- this is football
- medical staff not too concerned about Lautaro, seems like muscle fatigue - will be evaluated
- I liked Arnautovic's performance, he did everything he had to do but was unfortunate in front of the goal

> asked about Bologna's second goal
- Ndoye's speed could put any player in difficulty in that situation, Sensi entered the game well
- Zirkzee is an optimal player, has been demonstrating this

Can't describe with words how massive waste of a time and resources this night was. Fucking disastrous on so many levels.
If Lautaro is not serious injured I see zero disaster here. Our starters played 30-45 minutes, so fucking what? We won Coppa two years in a row, I want fucking second star fuck this shit, let beelan and rube kill each other in this competition.

Now we have a very good Inzaghi’s replacement once he loses his mojo. I like Motta. I like what’s he doing with Bologna. Very intelligent and innovative coach

Bologna are contenders for the Coppa imo. Motta is killing it there.

I was hoping that Lautaro would not shot the penalty now that Cahla was benched. Thanks for everything Capitano but this was your last penalty hopefully.. :yao2:

My impression was that Inter don't really gave a fuck honestly. Even considering that half of the bench was playing, they were not playing like the in the second half of the benfica game. Or maybe it's just me and i ovverate our bench. Arnautovic for example was once again dissapoiting and i think that getting a new striker in january is obbligatory. Frattesi is still the brother of the one we see in the national team. Again an incredible miss, same as the one against Lazio. This guy needs to play more to start getting confident...

Calm you tits gentlemen

Unfortunate work accident, nothing more.
Classic Cafe, downplaying every loss.

As far as I'm concerned, this was an unmitigated disaster.
  • Had to play an exhausting 120 minutes, especially tough on someone like Darmian - a 34 year old who is our only fit RWB
  • Had to bring on the starters when it would've been preferable not to use them
  • Lautaro missed a penalty, potentially hurting his confidence
  • Lautaro picked up what looks like a groin injury - one of the most annoying and difficult muscular injuries to treat. I won't jump to conclusions but considering his importance, any injury could have enormous ramifications
  • Suffered the ignominy of yet another come-from-in-front loss, once again at home
  • Gave further fuel to an opponent who is rapidly becoming a regular problem (last 11 game record against Bologna is 5W, 1D, 5L)

Despite all of these things we "paid for", we ended up getting knocked out anyway. All that cost for nothing. Complete disaster.

Not too concerned about the Coppa Italia given that we won it twice and our team would struggle playing in multiple competitions (on top of the Super Cup). The only concern is the Lautaro injury.

He seems to originally pick up the issue around the 70th minute and had a physio look at him before the extra time. Why did he even continue? Given Inzaghi rotates to avoid injuries, this is such an unnecessary risk.

I think there is a litle bit too much drama here. We were controling the game, missed a penalty but still scored after. There was never a moment where it looked like Bologna would win it. For sure we could have done more upfront and there were also too many missed chances. After the goal the team slowed down and was tired, Bologna beat us with their sub. Ndoyes sprint on Carlos said everything. Things happends, as some users here already said. My impression was that they could have done much more but not really wanted to do it. It was not even a deserved lost, if we have to be honest.

edit: if i could describe this match in only one sentences i would say that this lose showed that we are also only humans. Till now we managed to pass the CL groups while still leading the league, with +4 points gap now and incredible statistics. Beating everyone and playing also beatifull football. Soon or later it would happen, there is no fcking team in europe that can win every game. Bayern lost to some third league team in the cup. But they are still one of the favourites in CL and Bundesliga. It's only important to forget this now and to go on.

It's 03:24 am here, i have to wake up early while I'm pissed off so can't sleep lol
Missing many chances and playing carelessness are the worst thing I hate them.
Hope this loss doesn't make our mentality fucked up and we are gonna win every single game like before

Only thing that bums me out about the loss, is there goes the treble.

Motta is our next coach….

If we don’t win the league title he getting the job. We don’t have the roster to play multiple tournaments at the same time. Hope we don’t have our normal January slump

I don’t care we are out but awful starting line up we should have won in the 1st 90. No youth players used in copa italia

i think it's okay to got early knocked out of Coppa this season. Inter has the oldest squad in Italia and very prone to injury, it's better to focus on Scudetto and avoid Coppa, Supercoppa matches as soon as possible.

I have no problem in losing Coppa to Bologna. I do have big problems to see Bastoni played for 75 minutes, Lautaro 99 minutes and Darmian for freaking 120 minutes. Moreover, Thuram, Barella, and Dimarco played approximately 45 minutes here too when our squad is depleted and we have a tight schedules ahead. No wonder Inzaghi never wins league even when he had it on a silver platter like 2 years ago because his squad management is questionable.
