Brozo was missing 2/3 of the season and Lukaku as well. Chala was not a regista backthen. Inzaghi is not perfect but last seasons achievement were pretty good in my book. we are fucking cl runners up and nearly won the damn thing. also won 2x silverware last season with a non existent budget. Inzaghi making prime Bonucci out of Acerbi and making a better CB out of Darmian than Skriniar was for us. Look at the regista he made out of Chala. Yeah I mean Milan probably should have dropped points today, but they didn’t and I guess that’s what matters. More importantly though they were able to rotate half their line up and still compete with a mid table team away from home. Inzaghi hasn’t shown a willingness to try that this year. We did at the end of last season.

We only really rotated a decent amount in one game and it was the wrong one to rotate (away at Sociedad). Inzaghi got spooked after that and has barely rotated since.

i have never had the illusion we were top Scudetto contenders. We lack to much quality upfront and can’t compensate that with clean sheets. Our two most important positions: Goalkeeper and strikers aren’t strong enough. Although I was surprised we performed this well at the start of the season, and even today we didn’t play badly (in the first half). We just lack some sort of quality. Especially from our bench. Also our rivals started worse than I expected. I thought Jube and Roma would do better than they actually due until now.

We are definitely top scudetto contenders. Allegri only knows how to win the league if he has insane attacking players with qualities to make up from his total lack of attacking ideas. Milan are completely reliant on Leao. Roma look lost, and Jose is already complaining that his new acquisitions don't understand tactics. And Napoli are imploding under Rudi Garcia.

We're no longer playing in a league where teams have depth, and have star players coming off the bench to win games. People need to stop acting like us not having depth is going to cost us the league, or that we're dropping more games than normal. All the big clubs are going to drop more games than normal, and none of them have the quality to rotate and comfortably win games.

Yes, we'll be wrecked without Lautaro. But you could say that for every other team who is competing with us and their star forward.
