this situation reminds me of sweden-italy: we all knew in italy that (despite all of its flaws) we were the better team, but we also had a feeling that with ventura there was an actual chance not to make it to the world cup.

we needed a win, it ended 0-0 instead. the only difference (in our favor) is that in this case the opponent might need to win, thus being forced to attack rather than just defend.

back then italy needed to change coach but figc president didn't have the balls to fire ventura.

now, what is the point of still having a coach who's going to get fired in a few days anyway?

spalletti doesn't seem to have any idea of what to do.

So Genoa is currently in Zone Red by a point, but with a strong H2H record over Empoli ( 2-1 home, 3-1 away win)

Empoli needs a good result and absolutely has to avoid a loss ( a draw might be ok when Genoa can't get 3pts)

PSV is way better than Empoli, come on.

But this game symbolize Spalletti failure. Serie A is weak, the competition for CL is no where near last season, while Inter squad got better. Spalletti got what he wanted (Nainggolan, Perisic to stay) and our management supported him.

Yet, we are 4th behind Atalanta. We haven’t achieved our CL spot goal by the last game of the season. Inter fans are worried about home game vs 16 place.

I meant it more as a comment at the "We are Empoli" part. This is something you'd usually hear from Inter/Milan coaches or players given as they are big teams with the history and all.
It doesn't really fit coming from a team like... Empoli.
