Playing like we do, playing in EL will mostly be a waste of time and a large possibility of injuries.

I only want to play in EL if we are going to take it seriously and go far, like Strama who almost reached the semifinal. Playing like this...we can't win EL. Or be a serious contender.


But I will wait to see if we are finally bringing new people into the team with sacrificing the quality of the squad. This summer is really important.

I think more teams will be taking the Europa League more seriously next season.

It'd be interesting to see us in the EL next season. The competition will be more competitive now that the winner is put into the next seasons Champions League.

I'm looking forward to the competition next year (if we get in that is, which is as long as we win one of our last two should be fine) firstly us winning would mean we have the most europa/uefa cups out of everyone and also champions league spot guaranteed and thirdly some decent teams will be in it next year so should be entertaining. Finally I would hate to lose the champions league spot if we become 3rd in the league next year e.g. if fiorentina win the europa league we lose the champions league spot if we managed to pull off 3rd place which would piss me off to no ends.

Yeah just like a champions league winner e.g. when tottenham were 4th and chelsea won champions league so tottenham got europa same thing will now happen with europa. Imagine how much sweeter it will be if we win europa league and milan are 3rd hahaha

Actually just double checked that only happens if the champions league winner is from italy as well, and they finish outside top 3 so my bad false alarm

no, a country can send max 4 teams
so italy will have 4 teams in UCL, we are not top three leagues in europe

Honestly though. When was the last time that a side playing EL qualified for the CL? Playing on thursdays would severely hurt our aspirations in the league.

Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille did it last year. Shit, Chelsea qualified for CL last year while winning EL. Better team, sure, and I certainly get your point, but I don't that was the right question you wanted to ask. Basically one team in each major league did it.

Oh yeah and Mourinho's Porto sure did it ffs.

very important game now after derby loss.

Wait, so you mean if a team from Italy, for example Inter wins the EL next year but they don't finish in too 3 in the League, they would qualify for CL?!
