Exactly. Sure, we might not have had AMAZING chances but our 5 midfielder formation was pressing the shit out of Bilan and they couldn't do anything.

Is that why we had two clear chances on goal and you had zero? (the FK doesnt count)

It would be pretty obvious that 6 against 3 and especially 3 geriatric midfielders would mean that we will outnumbered and struggle to get posession. But for all their possesion, Inter barely threatened the Milan goal and other than a few scares outside the box none of their attacks were really meaningful.

Were you outplaying us? Yes

But the main difference is, if you guys hadnt noticed: We used almost similar type of tactics you guys used during Mourinho's time. Soak up the pressure and hit them hard when they are tired. That's exactly what we did. We knew Inter's backline was vulnerable, and hence why we tried to play the long ball. The 3-5-1-1 is great when you want to dominate posession, but it is hardly suitable when you are face with an organised backline. Many people think our attack is our strongest area but they are mistaken, it's the defense.

When Allegri first joined the club he continued to use Leo's 4-3-3, hence why our starting games were so poor. Eventually he shifted to a 4-3-1-2 putting extra emphasis on defense and making it organised. Infact, our first good run of games last season came when we were using the 3 DM formation.....

Gasperini did the mistake of concentrating too much on the midfield while leaving Etoo isolated, hence Inter werent able to lauch any meaningful attacks. I dont want to sound conceited but you cannot have a sole striker against the best CB partnership in Serie A, because he will simply be marked out. Inter's high tempo game also meant that they got tired out quicker, which led Milan to take advantage, especially with their vulnerable 3 man backline. I am sorry to say this, but I think Gasperini is fucking deluded if he thinks that a 3 man backline will actually work in a club like Inter or in Europe. It has too many weaknesses and few benefits. For it to work properly, players need to be playing it for a long time, which Inter just cannot afford. Look at Napoli for example, they are organised as fuck with that formation and probably are the best proponents of it. Yet I dont think they would survive in Europe by playing that, if their record of playing big games in Serie A last season is anything to go by...

All I am saying is that, you guys better hope Gasperini learns from his mistakes. That's what I like about Allegri last season. He started as a noob but he constantly tankered with the formation, lineup and tactics to get the best possible result. Hopefully Gasperini is the same, otherwise he wont last till December even....

Despite you are Milan supporter, I and many of us, if i am not mistaken welcome you to post here your friendly analysis to exchange ideas. There are some guys from Barca (like Visca), MU, Chelski do the same. Welcome on board.

I am so pissed off with our transfer policy. First of all, we missed AVB because not wanna to spend the fucking 15 milions. Then we want to sell the mighty Sneijder for the rumour 40 mil. Sneijder soaping opera made me unhappy for the last 3 weeks compared the 55 mil for Pastore. Then came the 3-4-3 crazy formation that Inter cannot play.

It is obvious that Inter management wanna to build the team with young players. What will be with us, the supporters for many years to come? Firstly, do not expect Inter will be the serie A champion candidate. Of course, CL is beyond the discussion.

What we can hope is we do a better Arsenal. When the youngster get enough playing time in 2-3 year, then Mr Moratti and Branca will strike again: plash the money to buy the experienced, decisive players and best coach to bring Inter to the fucking win serie like we did 1 year ago.

This is the only hope i have now and I believe in it. I made sense to me and explain what the management is trying to do?

Buying Nagatomo, Alverez, Jonathan and save money for the future is all suited my theory. Only one thing i cannot explain: why we buy Kucka?

1. If you were Massimo Moratti, you would think twice signing AVB for 15 mils also. It's easy for u to say the fucking 15 millions because you don't even contribute 0.001 cent of it.
2. we haven't bought Kucka. Even if we do, you have to know, it is such an impossibility to have 22 superstars in the team. We need players who are willing to sit on bench and play a cover role. Our starting XI is still strong enough tbh and all we need is to upgrade the bench.

Also when you look at what happened with Mancini when he left (only just beginning to look like challenging for the title) and Mourinho with only one cup win despite all the money spent (accepted that he is going against a wonderful Barca side). You would have to say that Inter were just as good for Mourinho as he was for you, he had just gone through a year and a half slump with Chelsea and he goes to Inter and wins everything in sight, from what I can tell the only thing that went wrong for you since he left was Benitez' insistance to be everything anti Jose. From what i've seen with Gasparini his insistance to bring in a new system seems to be more natural rather than an attempt to create an image..I think this is signifigant for the players as it will instill a lot more confidence in them, I think it will simply take time.

Dude 15 Million for a Manager is the highest ever compensation.. Dont think anyone would have paid that money bar Madrid,Chelsea,City.

He won mini treble with Porto that doesn't mean he is worth 15 Million.. His season with Chelsea will give us a good idea of what he is capable of (Talented manager no doubt).

Also wait till Jan or may, you can get him for free. Wont take much time for Roman to sack him :p

Benitez did the proverbial Humpty Dumpty on Inter. We'll have to wait and see if Gasp has what it takes to put Inter back together again.

Taken from Merda fan

lol story from Merda fan at Indo :

by Gaizka 22

Got a totally mixed feeling about the game. One of the most exciting Milan games I’ve ever watch – off the field.

I planned to watch it with Milanisti Indonesia (MI) members and the game was set to start at 7.00 PM local time. After breaking our fast, throngs of Milan jersey-clad supporters started to flow and around 6.45 PM there were probably close to 300 people in that futsal field into converted a mini fan-zone with projectors beaming the image.

A local television was scheduled to air the game and their broadcast started around 6.15, complete with the never ending commercial break and a lively looking host accompanied with a medium-knowledge commentator divulging information that can be easily found in goal.com.

6.45, 6.50, 6.55 and they were still talking. Aren’t they supposed to show the atmosphere inside the stadium? Or the formation? Or any kind of live coverage? That was the thoughts and murmurs circulating around us waiting and getting edgier. Then our worst nightmare came to light, the game started and they’re still talking. Some MI members frantically called the TV station and received the information that they still can’t get a live-feed from Beijing. We swallowed the news, sat back calmly and took out our mobile phones and gadget to see the live score. Then came the Sneijder goal and to vent the frustration we cursed the TV station more (as if seeing the game live would make any difference). First half went by totally unwatched and there was still no guarantee that we could watch the game.

During the break, laptops with internet connection were brought in, trying to watch via streaming. Loud cheers as they finally got some pictures in the screen but the jubilation was short lived because 15 seconds later the picture disappeared again, accompanied with jeers from increasingly frustrated crowd. Then another guy came and we can see his MacBook Pro Appler laptop. That’s it, optimistic voices were heard, he’s the hero, we’re saved, Apple can’t go wrong, they’re the best. But anyone who has ever owned or worked with Mac laptop know that you need another cable to connect it to a projector and it was obvious the owner either didn’t bring it along or didn’t have it. Apple or no Apple, still no show for us. But we can see that the laptop was able to broadcast the game via streaming. Seeing this tiny little hope, some started to approach the podium and crouched around the laptop, started with 3, then 5, then 10 and finally there were like 30 people circling the laptop trying to get a glimpse of the game from that 15 inch monitor.

Suddenly they all shouted! GOAL! IBRA! The rest of us (nobody left the venue, more even came), still sitting cross-legged, jumped up and started to scream and shout. Chants were heard for the first time. That’s all we need now. Knowing that we scored was enough to make us jubilant. But the mood was short-lived, we still want to watch it live. We want to see Ibra, Pato, Prince, Nesta, Seedorf and the rest of the gang. We want to see our heroes.

Then boom! Pandemonium! GOAL! BOATENG! I swear I have goose-bump now describing what happened and what we felt. We have turned it around, we are in the lead. Louder shouts, a bright red flare was burnt and louder chants of INTER INTER VAFANCULO! was repeated faster and louder each time.

It seemed the footballing God is finally showing us some mercy. Some guys shouted and informed the MI guys that the TV station finally managed to get a live coverage from Beijing. You can’t believe the cries, words relief and happiness we felt when the projector finally showed what we came for : ITALIAN SUPER CUP GAME. AC MILAN vs INTER MILAN. LIVE FROM BEIJING. When it started, it was already in the 78th minute but we didn’t care, we are finally watching the game live! We booed, jeered, laughed, shouted, clapped, shouted in unison.

5 minutes extra time. Too long we protested (in some part of the world, some miserable Inter fans were surely protesting it was too short). 94th minute and we all stood up, jumping, shouting and chanting. Surely, we are winning this. Then the final whistle. My God, all hell broke loose. We were high-fiving, hugging and screaming in each other’s face, waving our scarfs and flags, climbing and dancing on top of the table. Loudest chants of the night followed suit. 45 minutes after the game some us was still there, trying to savor the last moment of victory. Then finally we dispersed

So, like I said, I have such mixed feeling about this game. I can’t watch it thoroughly in real sense and it was quite a disappointment. But it was all balanced out with the relief feeling of finally able to watch the game after so many false starts and hopes were dashed. And especially with the orgasmic excitement of being surrounded by 500 people, most of them strangers you just met but all sharing the common emotion and passion for Milan. That you can’t buy.

BBIlan or not they better then inter atm..

No they are not. Organized Inter in full strength is still better than Milan is.. Don't fool yourself with last year success, Milan was NOT that strong, Inter were too weak.

This will be an INTEResting season ;)

What is there to be optimistic about? I'm waiting for the mercato to end until I comment, but right now it looks like we're in deep shit.
