Catania land Argentine ace
Catania secured a huge swoop in the early hours of the morning when they closed a deal for Boca Juniors midfielder Pablo Ledesma.
The Sicilians had been tracking the 24-year-old international for months, but were just one of a host of sides interested in the South American star.
While Lazio considered a bid, Catania acted and landed their man late last night for an undisclosed fee.
At Boca, Ledesma won the Copa Libertadores, four Argentine titles and an Intercontinental Cup, earning his maiden national call-up on April 19 last year against Chile.
Ledesma will be presented at the Stadio Massimino tomorrow at 5pm and follows hot on the heels of Romanian international Nicolae Dica, as Walter Zenga looks to galvanise the squad that narrowly avoided relegation last term.
