I hate even reading, let alone being involved in the tedious conversations of recent weeks, detailing the hypothetical and mathematical possibilities.

That said, yes there is. From what I can tell, it would require the following:

- Genoa beat Fiorentina. They would finish equal on 40 points but Genoa would have the head to head
- Udinese are currently also on 40 points but need a win or draw to overtake Fiorentina. If they lose, they have an inferior head to head record
- Empoli beat us to climb to 41 points
- Milan draw or lose to SPAL

Essentially, for Fiorentina to be relegated, the 3 teams under them must win. Fiorentina can save themselves and Empoli by winning. They would doom Genoa to Serie B in doing so. I feel like there's fucking 8 teams in this dipshit league which deserve Serie B anyway, including juve obviously.

Atalanta to draw or win vs Sassuolo
Milan to draw or lose vs SPAL
Roma to draw or lose vs Parma
Genoa to win vs Fiorentina
Udinese to win or draw vs Cagliari
Inter to lose vs Empoli.

So, CL qualification standing will be:

Atalanta: 67 or 69
Inter: 66
Milan: 65 or 66
Roma: 63 or 64

Relegation battle:

Udinese: 41 or 43
Empoli: 41
Genoa: 40
Fiorentina: 40 (losing on head-to-head)

Della Vale could not get a stadium going. If he did, he'd be appreciated. But he's there to make a profit and there is not really an environment for profitability there.

Same applies for Roma to an even greater extent as these are Americans even if they are disguised with Italian ancestry. All they care about is money, at least Della Vale understands why the fans hate him.

If we hadn't dicked around all season long, we could've gone into today needing nothing, let Empoli win, and see the effect that would have in Florence. Obviously I didn't see a second of that game, but I heard the term "non-aggression pact" being mentioned about it. While a dangerous game to play for Genoa, they gambled on Empoli not winning at the San Siro, which is supposed to be a pretty decent gamble. It worked out for them.
