His Inter career is over. If he could not establish himself as a starter in Marseille and get on the scoresheet while he was on a full season loan, there is no way has a future at Inter.

Yeah, with his utterly frightful stay at Marseille, who in the hell would be willing to even pay 5 euros for him? Suggest he spends the summer in Zurich and undergoes some rigorous confidence building regime. The constant abysmal performnces must be entirely mental and physical injuries maybe in part psychosomatic.

We cannot sell him, so it's better to leave him as a 5th choice, just to fill some gaps and cover the injured.

Inter, Correa's redemption obligation falls for Marseille: how much it weighs on the budget

Without qualifying for the next Champions League, the player’s redemption obligation falls by the French club.
by Marco Sacchi

The elimination of Marseille from the Europa League at the hands of Atalanta has put an end to the French dream of qualifying for the next edition of the UEFA Champions League, the first with the new format. Too far from the viable placements for the Ligue 1 goal, Jean-Louis Gasset’s team was just the European way to try to achieve this goal.
The lack of goal also extinguishes the dreams of another club, InterInter. In case of qualification to the next edition of the Champions League, in fact, the obligation to redeem Joaquin Correa would have been triggered for Marseille. The Argentine footballer transferred to the loan last summer, but considering the poor use and his performance, without obligation he will return to the base.

Correa how much is it weighing on the budget? All the figures

Inter will try to find a new buyer (or to set up a new loan). But how much does Correa weigh on the balance sheet of the Nerazzurri? The Argentine striker has an official historical cost of 32.6 million euros. Its net value at 30 June 2023 – the last available figure per balance sheet – was just over €16.9 million.
In the 2023/24 season, Inter only supported the weight of depreciation, amounting to just under 8.5 million euros. The net value of running at 30 June 2024 will be just under 8.5 million euros, considering the last year of the remaining contract. If the player remained at Inter, considering also the salary of 3.5 million net (6.5 million gross) the total cost for the season 2024/25 would be about 15 million euros.
If Correa were to start with the formula of the temporary transfer, the player's contract would be renewed (to prevent it from falling right at the end of the loan period). At this point, depreciation would fall based on the number of additional years of a possible new agreement with the Nerazzurri club.

I would say just send him to the primavera, but I don’t know if he’s up to that level.

I don't hate the guy, I feel sorry for him.

And not the "pretend sorry", but like in all reality, something happened that put him in this crazy set back. It's not like he is playing bad (or fruitless) on purpose.

I don't think he is strong enough mentally to recover from this. So maybe Saudi Arabia would be really a smart choice for him, not only for the money.

There are a lot of players who are good in mid table teams and low table teams, but aren't equiped to endure pressure, once they step up and play for bigger clubs, they're smart enough to understand and just accept the reality that they don't have it, and this breaks them permanently.

I hope Como, with the richest owner, come after him.

Let him go for 3-5M

As reported by local paper La Provincia via TMW, Como are keen to prove their ambitions in the transfer market and have started targeting Galatasaray striker Icardi and Inter owned forward Correa.

Let's just repackage him as winger, show case some fancy footwork and speed on Tik Tok; invite the P$G president with him cooking some BBQ; that might work.

He can be our extra midfielder or 5th forward. He does not have to score. Similar to Klassen.

Dry loan to Como.
He's useless for us.

Was Klassenn useless? But we played him sometimes. Correa can still press and pass, for the last option guy it's not bad.
