Damn, Samuel Eto'o looks A LOT like Baptista in that picture!

That was a joke, btw, I know it is Baptista photoshopped onto Eto'o.

Wrong wrong...that is Mancini's sexy body!

Last year, I said, the only player in the league who could rival Quaresma in terms of incompetence is Baptista, glad to know we have both of them together for us now.

We never seem to learn from Vieira's, Manicini's, Muntari's, this will just be a useless addition on our bill, Roma will have a big laugh about it, and we wont be able to get rid of him, as there is no other club in the world dumb enough to buy this guy and pay him 2.5mill/year, so we are stuck with him for a good 3.5 years. Considering our faliures in getting money for half decent players, like Burdisso, Mancini etc, I am pretty sure we will never be able to sell Baptista.
Baptista would know, there is no other place in the world, where he would earn this much, and would happily sit in the stands for the next few years. Its not like he has a place in the Brazilian NT to look forward to, as players in brazilian 3rd division are better than him. He wouldnt wanna go out on loans and shit.

Two years later, we maybe able to send him out to some lowly EPL club on our famous "Loan + Option to buy" deal, while agreeing to pay for 75% of his wages for the loan period. That club will then refuse to excercise their option, and we will be stuck with him once again.

Baptista might have one or two good games (highly doubtful), and make one or two good passes, score a lucky goal, and then we will see a couple of 16 year old idiots running around this forum, saying "I told you so".

Faliure, faliure and nothing else. Stamped and guarenteed. The only person to be happy with this deal apart from Baptista, is gonna be Quaresma. Now he wont be the most useless piece of shit playing for Inter, he will have to fight for that title.

Can some one convince Moratti, I am a good player? Woul love to earn 2mills a year sitting in the stands or at home

seriously even though i am against this transfer 100%, cant the management see that this is very risky(he floped at madrid, arsenal and roma), at least take him on loan first! and by the end of the season when baptista and burdisso loans finish then they should evaluate the bloody situation and see if they wana trade or whatever

He was called up and played in Brazil's last two matches and has 45 caps. I don't understand how you can say that the NT has no room for him...

Guys... All ur predictions on him failing at Inter before he has even been signed is ridiculous. How many times have we seen players rediscover themselves at a new club. Baptista might find his place at Inter. I just think it's pre mature to write him off just yet regardless of his past. It's obvious Mourinho wants him and I trust his judgement. In saying all this though, I'm not happy with his singing either but unfortunetly we just have to accept it...

The point, how many said already (including me) is that this is a RISKY deal. He might be a bomb, but a probability of this is very low. All the arguments were said.

He was not good enough for 2 top clubs, AND Roma (italian club, also a good measurment) and now we're suppose to believe that by some magic he will be good enough at Inter?

Again, RISKY. That's all.

And lets not forget, he is 29 at the moment. 3,5 year contract, would mean he will be 32 when the deal ends. And we're gonna pay 9 mln (evaluation of Burdisso now ~5-7mln) for him.

I'm still hoping those reports are BS, and we're going for a loan (with an option to buy), not a permanent deal. Permanent deal doesn't make any sense, especialy with Moratti who knows how it is difficult to offload those kind of players. A loan makes so much more sense... :/

Not 29 quite yet, but if the contract is really 3.5 years, it would still put him at 32 in the end...

Thank you for classifying this as a risk, because that's exactly what it is. It is a huge risk, and as the saying goes...high risk, high reward...low risk, low reward. Even though we do not agree with the decision, we should all still hope for the best, because don't we all want him to succeed???

RQ7, Mancini and Suazo were huge risks. This Baptista deal better be a loan... has to be

The problem with this is that, a huge reward doesn't happen very often.

I am one of the guys who is very supportive when we buy someone, but this time it just too big of a risk for me.

As it turned out with Arnautovic it didn't pay of the way we would like to, but at least he was young, some people spoke highly of him, and it was a LOAN.

This showed me how carefull our management became, and suddenly we skip the risk part and sign Baptista, like we would be signing Hamsik (meaning we trust it will pay off).

Even though we do not agree with the decision, we should all still hope for the best, because don't we all want him to succeed???
Ofcourse we do. There's no question about it.

the reason i'm more optimistic about this deal than most of this forum is the fact that all the clubs he flopped at play a quick fast paced passing game which doesn't suit him, it's one of the reasons why cambiasso failed at madrid

i'm not saying that he's a perfect signing, i'm just saying that he will exceed most of this forums expectations as far as back ups for sneijder go

he won't play as a CF like some people might think, only during emergencies, 5 attackers + quaresma is more than enough and the management knows that

Baptista is notorious for sitting in the club and refusing transfers. This may be the only chance Roma got to offload Baptista. If Roma sees even the slightest chance of getting him out, they are never gonna let us negotiate into loaning the player.

Baptista is not an adequate backup for Sneijder. He is nothing like him. If we want to get a backup for Sneijder, we should at least get someone noted for being a bit creative. I just don't see where Baptista will fit in, and where Inter will benefit from having him in the squad. Its a complete and utter mystery to me...

This is my biggest concern actually, bigger than the quality of the player himself. I don't want us to repeat Liverpool's mistakes, that is to increase squad depth at the expense of decreasing the average/overall quality. I know that it is harder to get world class players during the winter break but it's not impossible either, we bought Deki & Adri in January 04. And it'd be much better too to end up thin in the squad rather than thickening it with some half-ass solutions.

This player just has no quality. There is no question of him refinding himself. What a fucking crap of a player.

Fuck Mourinho. Fuck you for this.

Yeah what a dumbass. 10 goals+ in 3 different leagues in five of the last six years is no quality.. Add the 43 or so Brazilian caps and the lack of quality just shines brightly

Seriously, where were you idiots when we were signing Suazo?
