Didn't see anything saying that. I would think somewhere between 1-2m. He wants to leave anyway and Inter can argue that he got a 4 year contract instead of the 2 year one he had at the club.

If JC didn't care about the WC or playing time then you would have a point, but staying at Inter is really really bad in his point of view. We owed Eto'o a few millions in unpaid salary, and he gave it up in order to bridge the transfer fee gap between Inter and Anzhi at the time to push the transfer through.

Handanovic did something similar, he slightly reduced his already agreed wage fee to get the two clubs to sign off on the transfer.

Cassano also paid part of the money owed to Real Madrid in future transfer % to make sure his transfer to Milan went through.

You all are acting as this is new information. Players doing this is a common enough occurrence.
