You mean Piedmont? Game's not in Lombardy.

True, but it's more if the whole of Lombardy becomes a red zone then Serie A will no longer be able to finish, as they'll have to postpone even more games so they may just suspend every game.

I agree it's looking unlikely that it'll postponed, but I won't believe we're playing until we've kicked off tomorrow.

Juve is tidy with the ball, and not sure how much eriksen can add to the game if we barely see any of it. Not a bad idea to introduce him early second half, but it will only be in response to us conceding.

I think this game plays out similar to our loss to Lazio where he was convinced the starting 11 were enough until it wasnt. Eriksen and Sanchez were deployed when we had lost momentum completely and were just praying for magic

As I was saying. Lombardy is now a red zone, meaning no one can move in or out of the region (AFAIK) other than for 'grave' reasons. If that means football, then Serie A continues. If not, season is done.

I dont get why eriksen is benched again most likely. This is exactly the sort of game where we need his quality.
One could assume Conte lets Vecino run them tired and then Eriksen comes on.

Inter fans ignore Coronavirus advice :yao:

Despite calls for all of Lombardy to be put under a lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak, over 300 Inter fans still gathered to wish their team well ahead of the Juventus game.

It kicks off on Sunday at 19.45 GMT and will be played behind closed doors.

Between 300 and 500 Inter ultras gathered together at the training ground today – where crowds have been banned – let off fireworks, put up banners and sang songs to cheer on the team as the bus drove away.

This is all against the advice given by the Government and local authorities, who have urged those in the most affected areas to stay indoors and above all avoid congregating in large groups.

There are now growing calls for the entire Lombardy region to be put in lockdown, as that is where the vast majority of Italian cases either are or originated from.

This evening, the Government figures were updated to show 5,061 have tested positive for the virus, with 233 deaths.

Lombardy alone has 2,742 of those cases, with the next region down being Emilia-Romagna with only 937.

italian government is about to declare the whole lombardy a red zone, and people won't be allowed to leave the region or to go the region, except on serious grounds and/or for activities that cannot be postponed. this should however not affect Serie A, as the matches are included in the latter category (activities that cannot be postponed). source: gazzetta.it

Tommasi (President of the Footballers' Association) is calling for the league to be stopped completely.

Hard to disagree at this point.

The death toll is horrifying at this point - 233 people have died in Italy because of the virus... Not long ago I was thinking this whole covid thing is a massive overreaction but the number doesn't lie. Whether it's because of the seriousness of the virus or the gross incompetence of Italian authorities is besides the point.

Meanwhile, in Bulgaria, there is ZERO official cases of infected people, which I find hard to believe. I'm waiting for shit to hit the fan any minute now.

And yes, at this point, the season should be stopped altogether. Although this will probably jeopardize the Euros and European tournaments as well, lots of players that play in Italy will barely get any playing time and their national teams aren't going to be very happy about that. Lots of money at stake so probably it'll be business as usual, at the cost of additional human loss. Greed and incompetence...

Tommasi is right imo, and even behind closed doors the exposure of players is increased compared to almost everyone else. I would vote to just stop the league entirely for the time being.

Meanwhile, Mazzola with his suggestion :palm: ....ffs legend, just sit this one out

Why should Football Players have the privilege of stopping to work in comparison to other far worse paid and even more dangerous jobs? Think of someone working on the checkout of a supermarket...

20,000 people die of influenza in Italy every single year. Does that horrify you?

Suddenly supermarket people became real heroes. It's nightmare when I have to go buy something, I cannot imagine how hard is for those people.

Yea I think eventually a player will get infected and they’ll cancel the league. Which could even be after this round.

How would the champion be decided? If it’s within reach imagine that we just have to play the samp game to decide the Scudetto... that’s if they let us.

Something big has to happen to cancel the league ...

I don't want this thing happen to anybody, not even at Juve. Well, maybe Nedved just a little, to scare him.

Football players and any people under the age of 55 has extremely low chances to die because of Coronavirus.

parma-spal postponed by 30 minutes. as far as i understand, they are waiting for the approval of the figc (italian football federation) to play. but the sports minister a few minutes ago has asked Serie A to stop.

so at this point it's not sure our match, or any other match for that matter, will be played.

it's kind of a contradiction considering that yesterday's Serie B and Serie C matches have been played (they are under the jurisdiction of figc as well).
