That it does. But we wouldn't get much cash then we'd be looking at a griezmann replacement in two years. Unless we were confident esposito could step up from then I'd prefer a younger starter.

According to Italian sources, Inter haven't even offered a new contract to Lautaro and they are in no hurry to do so.

No need to do so, it seems that Barca most probably won`t be able to pay his release clause in 2020. Chelsea and City could, however Lautaro will probably leave for Barca at some point, when he will be bought. Inter made it clear that only paying his release clause will make him move, as we are not a selling club. This has been confirmed both by GdS & FcInterNews.it.

Blanco’s revelation comes amid reports in the media that have linked Lautaro with a move to Los Blancos but one report has also suggested that they have withdrawn their interest in signing him due to not wanting to sell any currently registered non-EU players to make way for him.

“When he was 18, Real Madrid came in for him and wanted to sign him in a loan with option to buy deal,” Blanco remarked in an interview with Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo. “He refused the possibility of joining them because he wanted to win with Racing before leaving. Sky Sport Italy: Next season he will earn €3.2 million net, the following season he will earn €3.4 million net and the season after that, the final season of his current contract, he will earn €3.7 million net. This seems to be a good negotiation point for the club. I expect the reported figures to go higher in case release clause will be increased or removed.
