Soooooooooo is he leaving or what?

:eek:kay:

Hadn't it been for coronavirus crisis, he would have left for sure. But now it doesn't look like Barcelona have the cash to get him.

Btw Messi talked about Lautaro in an interview he gave to Mundo Deportivo. Barcelona must be getting really desperate.

The thing about farca is everytime they're really desperate for a player they will have their entire media machine going agressively at it.
To the point that almost makes you want to sell the player and be done with it. Absolute scums, sometimes I even feel they're trying to compete with rube for this.
Mes que un club, unironically.

At this point after reading about this circus every single day, I'm really growing apathetic to the whole situation. If Lautaro stays, great for us, we have a world class striker.
If Lautaro walks, I'm at least assured that we will be heftily compensated. Marotta is not going to yield, especially not to Barcelona. Whatever happens, we won't be taken advantage of. And if Lautaro truly wants to leave, I don't want him to stay here unless he loves the club and believes that he can win with Inter.

I just hope we will settle this and not let it get dragged on. Like, we sign the new contract before July or we sell him before July (given the season doesn't continue at July anymore). We need to make arrangements regarding the squad so Lautaro issue need to be resolved early in the summer.

Problem is of course it doesn't depend on us completely. Barca of course might want to drag this because they want to haggle the price down. But we need to be firm. And from this perspective it is rather easy. Give the terms to Barcelona, and the deadline. If they can't comply within the deadline, sign a new contract with Lautaro. Which you hopefully have started to prepare already.

No. I've said months ago that Luataro wants to go in Barca because of Messi. If it's only about the money he would go to Man U or City.

I can only speculate but my feeling is without Leo he’d continue at Inter

Who said that it's about the money?

Lautaro might want to go to Barca because of Messi but when we offer him a fair contract offer and Marotta explains to him that Barca can't afford you, he will sign a new contract. I don't believe it has to be anything monstrous like 10m€ per season.

Melo: 'Lautaro striker of the future'

Ex-Inter man Felipe Melo believes Lautaro Martinez is ‘the striker of the future’ compared to Romelu Lukaku, who ‘doesn’t have so much quality’.

Lukaku has helped get the best out of Martinez, with the Argentine so far posting 16 goals and four assists this season, but Melo regards the Barcelona target to be technically superior.
“I know Lautaro, I see him play because I follow Inter,” he told Ole.
“He reminds me of Gabriel Jesus, who works a lot without the ball, fights and scores a lot. In my opinion, he’s the striker of the future. He’s only 22 years old, but he has strength and power and he has goals in him. A striker must always have goals in them.
“I like him very much as a player. For example, Lukaku’s very strong physically but he doesn’t have so much quality.

The former Juventus midfielder then claimed to have talked to Lukaku before he joined the Nerazzurri last summer.
“Before he went to Inter, I told Lukaku that he’d perfectly with Lautaro, who leaves the box more and moves like a second striker.
“I’m curious to see Lautaro at Barcelona. They already have Suarez and Messi, think what they’d be like with Lautaro and Neymar too.”

How would the 36-year-old stop the quartet?
“You’d need five Felipe Melos on the pitch kicking them and a friendly referee. If not, the first kick would be a red and you’d be 7-0 down!”

You will continue hearing Barcleona-Lautaro news/rumors for the next few months. This has been by far the most talked about transfer market rumor over the last few days and it is destined to continue.

Sport Italia report: Barca are ready to offer the Argentinian striker €13M plus bonuses a season. That figure can go as high as €15M after two years. The player’s entourage has accepted this figure and has asked Barcelona to find an agreement with Inter.
