Yes. But we were building up to that with our young core. Ideally Brozo, Barella or Skrinny were meant to step up and by now be full fledged captains. But this goes down to poor planning by our management and lack of foresight.

The goal was everything Lautaro supposes to aspire. I am happier with this goal more than his other spectacular ones. It did not require fancy technique or speed and power which he does not possess. He only has to play smart and attacks the vulnerable space before defenders aware. This time, he attacked the spot where a defender was occupied by Dzeko and and the other could not be sure either to track or release him. And finally he managed to cap it off ruthlessly when he usually misses it. Keep doing this and we will have a reliable striker for years to come (or an expensive asset according to Suning).

I don't mind him as captain, out of all players he fits the bill the most I think. For people wanting someone with authority or true leaders as captains, you can forget about that, we don't have those types of players currently at inter. We didn't have those players even when we won scudetto, that's why conte dictatorial role was so important to put some of these guys in check.

I dont think even Zanetti are that kind of captain, he is leaning to be the "lead by example" kind of Captain and not the type of telling his teammate what to do at least not in the field maybe he do that but in the locker room, in his time Materazzi and Cambiasso become the one who scold other player in the field, not Zanetti..

Ask yourselves, has Toro ever elevated the game of his teammates? Not talking about moments of brilliance or goals otherwise only forwards would be captains. As in, been the go to guy to drive the team forward to secure a result. Has barella? Has Skrinair? It's not enough to love the club or be a good teammate or have good rapport with the fans or give 200% in games. You need to inspire others.
