Bonucci here would be awful, like any defender because our teams lacks balance.
sure, and i don't imagine bonucci would be half the player he is today had he come to Inter in 2010.
its just not true to say rano is better. rano has not had a good year. though he has been our best defender, thats not exactly an accomplishment alongside the likes of juan, vidic, felipe. he has been very error prone and he has a lot of weaknesses that he hasnt worked on, such as turning velocity, agility etc.. at a point last season ranocchia made a big individual error every game.
on the other hand, while rano has not improved, over the past year bonucci has improved every weak facet of his game, and hes cut out the brain farts. what pajo said that he fucks up when he is pressed is simply not true anymore.
obviously if you put an average player into a well oiled system, theyll look a lot better. bonucci looks better in a better team but i dont know why thats being used against him. he complements chiellini well in the same way our defenders in 2010 played in a well organized team and complemented each other too.. if anything being at juve has given bonucci a platform to improve and become a better player, while ranocchia hasnt had that platform at inter. thats not the point.
if you brought bonucci to inter with the right partner, he would look better than ranocchia with the right partner.
heres what i know, juve had the best defense in the world last year and bonucci was by far their best and most important defender. i know juve's defensive strength is all over the pitch, but that doesnt take away bonucci has been a pillar for them. he was the most improved player in europe last year. pajo, i disagree entirely that de vrij or otamendi were better. both had great seasons but bonucci made the difference for juve who almost won an italian treble.
i'm a big supporter of rano, but i wont give him this.
