Hit signing should be considered to be something that is more than a decent signing. Agger? Crouch? Benayoun? Skertel? Arbe-fucking-loa!!? :D Aurelio?

Those are signings that are comparable to us signing Burdisso let's say.

The only 'hit' signings for Liverpool under Benitez are Reina, X.Alonso, Torres and Mascherano.

Hit signing should include those other players as well Handoyo, coz he hardly spent tons of €€ for a single player.

So? I'd rather he spent 20m on players like Mascherano and Torres rather than spending 5m on 4 players that only does decently but never elevate Liverpool to be a world class club.

In a nutshell, 2 expensive world class players is much much much better than 10 cheap, but decent/good players.

This is my biggest beef with Benitez.

When you consider the price tag, those were all good signings. Good signings are not only World Class players Han...

We are not a small club like Arsenal or Roma, who could be happy that they got more than what they are paying. Roma can be happy that they pay nothing for Burdisso but still get a decent defender. For a club of our stature, it is better to get spend 20m Euros on Samuel for example. Even though if you compare worth to penny ratio, the Burdisso for free deal is much much much better than spending 20m on Samuel, it is players like Samuel that will elevate Inter to be world class.

2 world class 20m players >>> 10 decent free players

Just because YOU do not like the players purchased, does not negate the fact that they were good buys. Good buy = better value for the money spent in my mind. For the money spent on those players, he made good buys. Now of course he probably could have bought better players, but that is not what I am arguing...

You think it is funny that I list Arbeloa, but there is a reason why he went from the Deportivo bench to the Real Madrid starting 11 in three years...

Of course it's all about opinions. But like I said, "good buys" for small clubs like Arsenal & Roma is different from "good buys" for us. Good buys for Arsenal meant getting a cheap defender like Vermaleen who's decent but against the big guns like Drogba or Rooney, he just got eaten alive.

Good buys for us is spending excessively on defenders like Samuel who can silent Drogba, Ibra, Olic, etc etc. I'll say this one more time. For a world class club, we do not need anymore decent players like Lucas Leiva or Skrtel or Agger because we already have the likes of Mariga, Materazzi/Cordoba and Chivu in those positions.

I don't think I need to explain why Arbeloa can start for Real Madrid. Just one look at the competition he gets and you got it. It's like praising Pavon to be a great player because he once started for Real Madrid amidst the Galacticos.

Lucas was not counted in the flop signings by vito. Just because he is a regular doesn't mean he is not a flop. Totally useless player.

I hope our bid is 0. If we keep him, he'll just be someone else we can't get rid of due to his salary being too high for small teams, and we'll loan him out for no reason again.

Ternana would like to sell him to another team, it won't be easy for us to not bid for him

He can be used for bargaining another players, I thought he was included on the Parma deal

SE SALTELLI....
"At the end of the 07/08 season, Inter officially signed him on a co-ownership deal. Under coach Jose Mourinho, he played his first game against A.S. Roma coming on as a second half substitute and scored a penalty in Inter's Italian Supercup win. Jimenez played his first game of the 2008–09 Serie A year against Sampdoria on 30 August 2008, but unfortunately picked up an injury later in a practice session. He returned from injury on 30 November 2008 when he was subbed in Inter Milan's Serie A game against Napoli. A subsequent long-term injury limited Jiménez to a total of 6 appearances for the 08/09 Serie A season.
The co-ownership deal with Ternana was renewed on 23 June 2009........"

now im confused, do we own any part of him??

Yes because he wanted to go and not play for a small club like Ternana, thats why and how we got him in the first place.
