I think Conte might leave if there is no reinforcement next merkato and Inter have to sell Lautaro or Lukaku in addition.

I agree. Regardless what happens with Scudetto this season, if Suning stay and we have a repeat of last summer then Conte will probably try to find a mutual agreement with them for the termination of the contract and leave. He knows the team needs reinforcements in the summer in order to remain competitive. He would have more to lose than to gain by staying.

That is definitely a possibility, but if that happens we won't sign Allegri either. Thats the low cost coach option I had mentioned. This is not a good scenario for Inter.

If Conte leaves because we don’t get him players do we have to pay him?

This whole I don’t want to play but pay me is bullshit. Wish I could do that at work!

If Conte leaves, we will pay him between 0 to 1 years wages. It could be 0 if Conte wants to leave but Inter don't mind if he stays, and it will be upto 1 years wages if Conte wants to stay but Inter want him to leave. If the decision to leave is mutual, the settlement will be somewhere in between.

On the remote scenario that Conte wants to leave coz another club has made an offer but Inter want him to stay, we could even get a "transfer fee" of upto 1 years wages (like what happened with Mourinho)

The tax thing is confusing. Is it valid for only the first two years or is that just for the time you have to be away? So is Conte going to be taxed at a normal rate in his third season? Was it for 5 years or 2 years or something else?

Because if it's only for the first two reportable years, we have already gone through 2019 and 2020, so starting from last month, Conte should be taxed at the normal rate. Same applies with everyone else like Lukaku and perhaps Sanchez (though I assume his first year starts in 2020).

Someone should check, but if I remember correctly the 2 years was the time you have to be away from Italy for the tax break to be applicable. I don't remember a limit on the number of years the tax break will apply.

Imagine the CR7 wage bill if the growth decree does not apply to him anymore.

There definitely is a limit. Think it was 3 or 5 years actually, but the two year one is in my head since that's the limit to be eligible for it and perhaps it'd be unfair for everyone else if it goes on for far longer.

Either way, we don't even know how the tax works, if it's going to be recalled or whatever... Italy is in a crazy situation now. I trust the government will not fuck this up for companies and the people that this applied to.

I am pretty sure that after we go bankrupt we'll just hire Zanetti, Toldo or Cambiasso. I am also pretty sure these 3 cant do worse than what 12M a year guy does.

You have learnt nothing from our banter era or Milan's recent history with ex-player coaches :p

I wouldn't mind a punt on Christophe Galtier. He has been very impressive for Lille and before that St Etienne. At least he knows how to rebuild from small budgets, and is tactically sound. Not tested at this level, but then we cannot afford proven coaches. But we need to move fast, he seems Nice bound.

I would prefer this over some crap Italian small team coach. Or even Inzaghi.

I wouldn't mind him or Blanc, at least until we find some stability (lol)

What’s happening with Gasperini? I know he failed once but he’s doing wonders with Atalanta.

Even though it’s completely different owners and staff, I think gasp would laugh in their face if they contacted him.

I don't think so. I think if Inter contact him he considers the job. The Inter he got back then wasnt suited to his style at all, but this one is.

And we might have a chance to get Gosen as well if we offload some players.
