Yeah that could very well be true dynasaurus. Still, I have the feeling Branca was the guy that wanted Gasp in the first place. Regardless whether it was on Branca himself or the entirety of the Inter management, it was a rash and stupid move that made little sense considering how our squad was built. Then the mercato was equally retarded simply because now we got a coach who's made a career out of a 3-4-3 formation. In order to "accomodate" Gasp, we get rid of Eto'o (not a natural winger but one that can play there obviously) and bring in Forlan as his replacement. Now I don't mind Forlan but he isn't gonna beat anyone with pace out wide. That's never been his game and it certainly isn't at 32. Don't even get me started on a 3-man defense with Samuel, Lucio and Ranocchia which is the definition of worthy.

I'm pretty much re-hashing what everyone has said already but all in all, a truly colossal fuck up by our management who panicked like a teenaged boy tacking his first bra off.

It was Branca who put the foundation of the treble winner team. Mourinho didn't request for Lucio, Eto'o, Sneijder, etc. JM was given these players, he put them together and won the treble. Branca didn't just sign the transfer paper. He negotiated for a good price for those 3 stars. He stole those 3 from their clubs. That is where we started winning treble.

I think the fact that we had Mou as a coach played a much bigger part. Ofcourse he did good to provide him with the right players... He was lucky to get them to, since they were all considered surplus.

Yes. He stole them at the right time. Probably it was luck to steal Eto'o. But, Wesley and Lucio were not lucky transfer. Branca hit them on the right moment. To do good transfer you need to know the exact moment to offer otherwise the club must pay like Madrid did. What Madrid did on Kaka and Ronaldo, plus what Barca did on Sanchez, and what Man City and Chelsea used to do are not smart transfers. We did the smartest transfer to form the treble winner.

No. Jose wanted Lampard, got Sneijder. He wanted Carvalho, got Lucio. He wanted ibra to stay and build team around him, he got Eto. The only player he did want in that team is Milito, and Diego was bought in May.

How the hell they came because of Mou? You don't forget how many times Wesley denied us? If they really came because of Mou, it would not take so long to sign Wesley and Eto'o. Lucio was another case, he was in a fight with van Gaal

Branca was part of Inter board since 2005. Brechet, Dalmat, Van der Meyde, Guly, Gresko were signed before Marco Branca became Inter's director. If any fuck ups he signed were Pele, Rivas, Mancini and Quaresma.

So if anyone wants to blame somebody for our poor signings over the years (cos we are the only club in the world that does this blivious then Oriali shares the blame too.
