Dude absolutely, most definitely, certainly, no one needs to tell him that for him to know it. And he'll have the hottest wife wherever he goes.

Really good interview. Says a lot, and also leaves a lot to be known.

But it is good to hear from Branca on how an era got over. Those players were indeed like a family. We knew it then, and we know it now, that we should have moved on from many of those players. But it was never going to be easy. They were a family.

Or the infamous Asado clan, if you ask some people here.

That's true. Though the family was bigger than the clan. It was just that over the next year or two, Lucio, Maicon, Motta, Sneijder Eto'o were all forced out. And then we were left only with the Asado clan. Only some of the old guard like Stankovic were left back. What was left post that, was only the "clan".

BRANCA: ‘INTER MISS PERISIC MORE THAN LUKAKU’

The Nerazzurri sealed a 2-0 win against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League on Tuesday and are now preparing to face Udinese in the final Serie A game before the international break.

They will be without Romelu Lukaku who is not expected to return before October following a muscle injury. However, Branca believes the Nerazzurri miss Perisic more than the Belgium international.

“I think they miss Perisic more. He was outstanding last season, now they still need to adapt,” he told Tuttosport.
“He wanted to play in the Premier League before the end of his career. There was nothing Inter could to persuade him to stay. I understand him, there was no reason why he should not get personal satisfaction.”

The Croat joined Tottenham on a free agent at the end of his contract in June. He was one of Inter’s best players last season thanks to his 10 goals and nine assists in 49 games across all competitions. Inter signed Robin Gosens from Atalanta in January, but the Germany international is still not up to his previous standards, mostly due to physical issues.

“He wasn’t well when he arrived, and I think he has time to return to his level. To me, he is an excellent player,” said Branca, who has faith in Inter boss Inzaghi.
“It’s normal for every coach to be questioned after a few draws. I like the way the team plays. Inter have a tough Champions League group, but they only need one game to unlock. If they find the key to the problem, they can play on par with everyone.”

Branca believes Inter should not regret not signing Paulo Dybala, who signed for Roma on a free transfer.
“He can’t be a regret, he is not there, so they must think about who is in the team.”
Some elder FIF members could argue that Branca was clueless 😑

"Ex-Inter President Massimo Moratti reveals he could have signed a young Erling Haaland when he was at the helm of the club.

However, he could have moved to Italy even earlier as, according to Massimo Moratti, Inter had a chance to sign him when Haaland was barely 13.
...
“Marco Branca would have made me sign him, 100%. He told me: ‘President, this is a special player.’ He could have been at Inter,” the former Inter President told Il Secolo XIX."

In time, the prophecy will be fulfilled and Haaland will join us. We just need to bide our time until he is available as a free agent in his mid 30s.

Or if we got him as a kid, he'd be sold for 100k when he would turn 16.

It's funny, every great player could have been signed by Moratti yet here we are with none of them ever joining the club. Can he shut up already?
