Well you could argue that Gladbach wanted to show us that he is too important for them and that is why he still started. If that is the case then it went out horribly for them. Now they are going to miss a 30 million opportunity and now they still don't have the money for the reneweal of Ginter's contract. I see your point @rockball, but imho Correa is too similar to Lautaro. Thuram would have been awesome to battle it against Dzeko, but apparently now with his injury it will all fell apart.

Correa is not similar to Lautaro in any way. Just because Lautaro is not big physically, most don't consider him to be the no. 9 or take him to be a SS. While he can play that role with Dzeko or someone as a partner, Lautaro is more of the main striker himself.

Players pass medicals all the time with known injuries. Medicals exist to catch injuries that people weren't previously aware of.
