I like the fact he seems to be always smiling and messing about with his teammates, in addition of being a very useful player of course.

Its fucking ridiculous that he came for free, chose us instead of Milan, performed in every single one of our big matches and yet still gets shat on by people here who dick ride losers like Sensi.

There are posters here just waiting for him to make his first mistake to rush out to "tell us so"

He surpassed all expectations.

För someone that hasn't seen Inter play, stat wise Thuram looks amazing this season.

However he is even better for us that have seen him play. On top of the stats he has won penalties for us, and he has been just an amazing team player so far, with zero ego...

I can't ask more.

He’s quickly becoming my favourite player.

It’s actually remarkable how likeable this current this current (starting) squad is compared to previous iterations.

Dimarco, Dumfries, Mkhitaryan and Barella have had their frustrating games and moments this season, but the rest have been almost without blemish (not counting Acerbi playing as LCB).

This guy is an overall better player than Lukaku IMO. He might never hit the Belgians goal tally but he brings more to the table in terms of overall gameplay. His touch is certainly better.

The deal of decade imho, I did initially think he could do some impact but not for a moment did I imagine he would make so much impact and frankly his a much, much better and more influential player then Lukaku ever was. I really started to have him as one of my favourite players and him and Martinez has really gelled far better then one could ever imagine, these two are just so incredible lethal together.

Lukaku thrives with coaches such as Conte and Mourinho but every one else he simply can’t put the effort and numbers in and he just isn’t very versatile.

Winner against Roma, against Benfica, then penalty won against Benfica, goal vs Milan, Naples.

Even if we ignore talent, this guy have been more valuable and decisive in big games in 3 months than Lukaku in 3 years.

Let's not get into another unnecessary discussion. Every player makes contributions on his own way. I appreciate Lukaku's impact on his first season here, he was one of key figures in our Scudetto winning season. Once he left, I didn't want his return, but going into minor details to compare their performances or influence in particular matches, that won't put things into any prespective IMO.

Thuram on why he chose Inter and ‘worrying’ example of his father
markus-thuram-festeggia-dopo-il-gol-a-napoli.webp

Marcus Thuram reveals why he decided to join Inter two years ago, the advice he gets from father Lilian Thuram and the one area he really hopes he won’t follow in his dad’s footsteps.

The France international had already been on the verge of making a move to San Siro some time ago, but a serious injury slowed that progress and he eventually joined as a free agent after his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach ran down.

“I had already spoken to director Piero Ausilio two years ago, before I got hurt. He saw me as a centre-forward and that was something that made me think Inter was the right choice,” Thuram told Sky Sport Italia.

He had been regularly used on the wing in Germany, but has formed a splendid partnership with Inter teammate Lautaro Martinez.

Lautaro is the best striker in the world. Anyone who plays alongside him will have no problems scoring goals. This is a new team for me, a new city, a new league, and I am trying to learn every single second.

What strikes me the most about this team is that everyone gets along and enjoys spending time with each other. That’s lovely to see.

The 26-year-old has found the net six times along with 10 assists in 19 competitive games for Inter, between Serie A and the Champions League. Inevitably, there are greater expectations around someone with the surname Thuram, especially in Serie A where his father played for Parma and Jubentus.

We have a normal father-son relationship. He talks to me about how to be in my life, in my football, where I need to improve. He really helped me to become the person I am today. The best advice he gave me when I was a kid was to do what I love and enjoy every moment. He taught me respect and the importance of remembering we are all the same, we all need to live together.

However, there is one area where Marcus hopes not to follow in the footsteps of his famous father.
My father doesn’t have hair anymore, so I worry about that!

Stellini: ‘Conte would want Thuram at his Inter’
225344372-94d548e6-085b-402f-b6e9-932018fc4fce.jpg

Former Inter, Chelsea and Tottenham assistant manager Cristian Stellini explains how some of the Nerazzurri players have improved since his time there, while Antonio Conte ‘would’ve liked’ to have Marcus Thuram.

Stellini has for many years been the assistant to Conte and briefly took over at Tottenham in a caretaker role when the manager parted company with Spurs in March.

They also won the Serie A title together at Inter in 2021, but while Conte walked away claiming the squad could not step up to the next level, Simone Inzaghi took them to the Champions League Final.

“Where I see that Nicolò Barella has clearly improved is in his game management,” Stellini told TMW Radio.
“Before he was a player who ran hard, showed dynamism, but now he selects when and how to use those bursts of pace. He is more mature, has become a leader and can control his behaviour better.”

The biggest change that Inzaghi made was transforming Hakan Calhanoglu from a trequartista into a deep-lying playmaker, whereas before Conte had relied on Marcelo Brozovic in that role.
I don’t know if Calhanoglu is more complete, but he certainly has different characteristics to Brozovic. I’d say Brozovic is more dynamic, whereas Calhanoglu is more vertical in his vision, can shoot from distance and makes the difference from set plays too.”

Whereas Inter won the Scudetto largely thanks to the dynamics between Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku, the current squad is getting far more goals out of the Argentine.
Lautaro has certainly become more of a finisher and is far more decisive in attack. He has always been very good at playing for the other striker, and as a youngster played in the Number 10 role, but today he is far more consistent in his finishing,” added Stellini.

Thuram is a player who combines physicality with good quality. He could score more, but has time to grow and mature. Conte would’ve liked to have Thuram in the squad, as he works hard for the team.”
Conte can suck on a lemon.

Why do they even make interview with an assistant coach about Inter?
