as usual, its because he's black its "disrespectful".....

I don't think being black is the reason that he gets criticized so much (for the majority of people anyway). If a white guy did the same stuff as Balo did I would still think he's a moron.

Although this particular incident, while immature and silly, people are overreacting about it, it was only a friendly... if he had done that in a major league or cup match it would be much more fucked up.

The "he thought was offside" argument is bs, he was WAY behind the Galaxy defender when the pass was hit, and he knows that. And he shouldd have noticed that everyone kept playing on...

Even if he thought he was offsides that's never an excuse to talk back to your coach, to me that's worse than what he did on the pitch.

Man, i dont know why are you arguing with what he did on the pitch, if it was offside or not? Who cares? The thing that annoys me is what he did AFTER, when he was subbed... Did you see him yelling and making gestures to Mancio? Prick...

I think he was telling Mancini he thought he was offside.

Whatever,Mancini made too big a case of this,it's gonna be in the press and it's not gonna be good for the team.besides it's jsut a friendly.

Why isnt the real point being discussed here? He thought he was offside.....but all im hearing is blah blah blah this, blahg blah blah that.

Then he thought he is offside and shoots the ball away. Yellow card. Much better.

And when he really thought that he was offside then his basic knowledge of football is even more worse than his behavior.

Se saltelli segna Balotelli, se saltelli segna Balotelli

I don't know if this has already been posted or not but look at Mancio getting real on Balo's ass!!!

I should probably do the same with some of the AUW crew! Specially the guy who doesn't shoot straight & chips the ball!!!

By that logic there a no class strikers out there...... how the fuck would they know if they were offside or not. Give me an example of who you think is an "class striker", and ill show you a vid off him complaining against a decision

Yes, for almost every "class striker" in the world you can find many videos of them giving their best efforts despite being offside and then complaining to the ref. But here, Balo does the exact opposite. Instead of playing through a flag/whistle, he basically gives up on scoring a goal before being sure that play has ceased. That is unacceptable, IMO. Even in a "friendly."

How many videos can you show me of "class" strikers mailing it in because they heard a whistle from the stands? Players who are hungry to score and respect the game give it their all until they are sure play has ceased. And even then, they frequently put a legitimate shot on net, because they just want that goal so badly. IMO you are simply making excuses for Mario, and the thought-he-was-offside excuse would be insufficient even if it were true.

---------- Post added at 10:37 ---------- Previous post was at 10:22 ----------

One failed 360 move in a friendly game (When he thought he was offside) led to this.. :palm:

Perhaps you are right that the reaction in this thread is over-the-top. But you are missing the point if you think our outrage is rooted solely in a single incident.

Nah. Mancini may have appeared to make "too big a case of this" but this is a clear case of Mancini having it up to his eyeballs with Balotelli.

Remember, Mancini claimed that he didn't have any problems with Balo when HE was the coach, while Mou was putting the player in the freezer and the media was making a mountain of it.

Smart Alec Mancini thought he was "special" to Balo and that Balo would look up to him and be a good boy, so he signed the young Jedi at City. We all know of what happened with Balo at City during the course of the season, and Mancini is now already - obviously - a pretty frustrated coach. This incident at the Galaxy game only shows Mancini's patience with Balo is now wearing very thin. And every "little" transgression by this "Italy's future megastar" is going to trigger off Mancini (or any coach in his shoes).

Look at the video. See how Balo talks back at Mancini and then walks away while the coach was still talking. Anyone would be triple pissed to be in Mancini's position. You don't talk back and walk away while I, the coach, the manager who manages the team, YOUR manager is still talking to you. You just do not do that. The body language is obvious and it's happened many times before - Balotelli respects NO ONE. He has said it before - that he thiks only Messi is "just a little bit" better than him. The small fart thinks he the second best in the wiorld.

Even the guy on Soccernet is defending Balotelli today of all days. I seriously saw nothing wrong with what he did onfield, he didn't deserve to be hooked. Also yes, you don't talk back to your Manager that part I agree with you guys, but Mancini was one of the most arrogant strikers in his time too, and he should know.

I also stand by if it was Xavi or Iniesta or Thiaga Alcanwhatever the fuck his name is did that move on field, no one would be complaining.

Nah,Mancini already said taking him out after 30 minutes was enough punishment and he hopes Mario will be more professional when the season starts.
He''ll rely on himanyway as the guy is class and maybe even more if and when Tevez leaves.

And while Balo was all over the neglish media(like expected) he had a pretty decent season on the pitch. Not spectacular but not terrible even though he himself said he was ''shit''(which means he has expectations from himself.
And yes it's good he think only Messi is better than himself,a striker needs confidence so he can think whatever he wants.I'm surprised he ranked Messi ahead of him.
I agree that he shouldn't have talked back to Mnacini or walk away but he was prolly pretty frustrated of being sybed that early and prolly Mancio didn't buy the offside story.
