If Vidal is available at 10m and his salary is not something crazy like 4m x 4 years I'd take him in an instant. But I don't see Rafinha and Kovacic coexisting in such a midfield, nor Vecino is the man to complement those two.

I'm still not sure if Kovacic is best suited as a deep playmaker or as a 10. I think he'd do wonders with Icardi but he'd also disappear a lot which will cause problems in our offensive flow. So imo Kovacic should play deeper and have 1-2 "enforcers" next to him. One of Gagliardini and Vecino next to him plus someone like Vidal maybe. But if you don't go 4-4-2 diamond, we will have the same issue as this year and the last seasons. No one will attack from the center of the pitch and that's our biggest liability.

What has two year older Veratti done? 24 this year, i struggle to think of a better midfielder in our squad or any midfielder in the top teams his age or younger. Him and Gagi would be a nice pairing.
