How many "tactical shifts" have we undergone over the years? It goes ok for a while, and then we crash again. That's happened countless times. We literally scored 0 goals in 3 games in a row.

We need midfielders on the caliber of Nainggolan, Strootman, De Rossi to compete. It's as simple as that. No amount of tinkering tactically will do anything. We have shit players, and we get shit results.

Sure we can always upgrade the players, but the midfield as of now is less urgent than our wing and full back positions. Although we do need better rotational players or competing players for our first team members.

I don't know what kind of games you play that made you think you can just change 90% of the squad, but such radical change as we have done in the past two decades have already shown to be ineffective in terms of improving plays and get anywhere in terms of results.

I'm not watching this team until they get their shit together. I'll take your word for it, but as I said, the amount of times when we've "figured something out" has been countless, and after a while it all breaks down again.

Our #1 problem is simply lack of good players. I just don't see how these guys can compete with Roma's or Juve's midfield on an individual level. Brozo/Gagliardini are simply not on the level of Khedira/Pjanic or De Rossi/Nainggolan.

Quite frankly, I don't think we have really figured out anything before, nothing with Pioli nor de Boer, especially not with Mancini.

Don't really have anything to say regarding to this unless there's a specific situation you are referencing from.

In principle, I agree our players quality is not high enough. But Rafinha is not actually that far away from any other Serie A midfielders. Brozovic also has his moments as well in past years, finding a proper role for him was always a problem as was Hernanes, Guarin, Ricky, Kovacic and Kondogbia because we never really managed to figure out how to use anyone we have bought. It's only natural for our players to underperforming if we don't know how to use them.

We are changing the coaches twice per season. It's normal to change the tactics with every new coach. You mentioned Nainggolan, Strootman and De Rosi. Ok, but Kovacic is not on their level now. In future maybe, but not now. And i meant that our midfield works for now. We still have to play 5 games more including Jube and Lazio. Then we can assess not only the midfield but whole team. I don't now why you blame midfielders for 0 scored goals in those 3 fixtures. Against Milan and Torino we created enough chances and most of them were wasted by forwards. Atalanta is another story with wrong tactical approach by Spalletti.

If we are playing 2 man midfield we really dont need him. In fairness, id be happy having brozo and Gags next season ad our 2 centre midfielders. If wr get de vrij and extend Miranda we will have the option to move skriniar up. IMO, theres a bigger need in our team than a CM (this is assuming brozo and Gags continue their form AND we redeem Cancelo and Rafinha)
