Nope. We sold him to Madrid for €38m and now Chelsea payed €45m for the permanent transfer.

We sold him for 29m actually and several add ons. I was hoping we included something on a future sale but it wouldn't make sense for a Real Madrid bound player anyway.

Kovačić won a lot during that season in Madrid so all those add-ons and bonuses have been triggered & activated, resulting in the above-mentioned high transfer fee.

When was the last time Real Madrid accepted such a clause? When did they last buy someone with a percentage of a future sale?! :chan:

If this guy could finish he would be world class and still at Real Madrid. He doesn’t even need to be a world class finisher, just put Brozovic’s shot on him for example and you have a world class player.

He plays much deeper to get himslef often on goalscoring position. Anyway he is very good this season.
