I wish Serie A was anywhere near as open as these games.

Still though, needs to become one of the first names on the teamsheet instead of just some kid thrown in.

As Pajo said, he started in more advanced role, but once moved deeper, he was much better.

That may be his ideal role after all.

Im gona get you Wallaaace!! :fffuuu:

:yao:

How can you ever get me on this?

All I am saying is I am putting my trust on Strama and the Croatian national team coach in this.

According to many FIF experts, coaches are working in their positions because they are professionals, experts of football tactics and knowledge, so they must be right at all times.

Who exactly are you guys to question the master of tactician of Internazionale FC AND Croatia? You guys are all just keyboard warriors dreaming of become one, but hold no qualification and certificates of even remotely suggesting you have any knowledge of football.

Adblocker helps me getting rid of all those ugly 'troll' smileys (or what people call them). It helps me a lot.

I don't have anything agaist wallace or anyone. He's fantastic poster when he wants to be but lately ... Just stoped to be funy for me.

edit: I enjoyed when we had Luka, Hamed, benny, Frisko, Stefan etc etc for footbal discusions and durai, shahz etc. for litlle troling to kill monotony. I just came to read here, nothing else.

Now forum have Michael and his fantastic, the best translations in the world and ... trools (quality trools) ... new members just looking how "interesting" is to talk bulshit and they are doing that too.

I repeat, nothing against anyone but fitzy, devious, wallace and couple other guys should have they own thread to talk bulshit all the time. On this way they are killing the forum.

honestly, i would have no problem with the mods clamping down on it a bit more. 10 page long posts of stupid gifs and shit are really annoying. if people want to do that, they can. Somewhere else.

We give warnings for that, at least we started to do so. We might get more strict in the near future, but we can't really ban someone for using stupid sarcasm and annoys others. As we can't ban someone for being an idiot

Don't want to interrupt the talk about quality, bot got some question on Kovacic-topic:

Some people see him playing better a row up front in am. I agree in the points, that he seems to be able to play this, especially because we need hard work am on the pitch, because of compensation of defensively "weak" Cassano. So he might fit in AM position in 4-3-1-2 or even in trequartista role in 4-3-3.

But I see a diffenerence in between, where a player can play best out of his individual class, and where a player can have most impact on the teams game. So no matter if playing 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2, there should always be Gargano and Cambiasso (without injuries it should be Obi instead of Gargano) in DM to cover up the offensiv play. The one does it with view and knowledge plus class, the other with willingness and heart - workable couple in my eyes (if roles in ballpossession are clear).

So you got Guarin and Kovacic left. One for deep lying playmaker and one for an attacking role near the box (because the 4-3-3 beeing more 4-3-2-1 played with an AM and Cassano).

Whats Guarins strenght? Great 1on1, huge body and knows how tp put him in, immense shot. There is no fooling around, he is direct in his game, no hesitating, straight on the goal. And what makes him worthy on top is his willingness and ability of working back.

On the other side Kovacic. Not that powerhouse like Guarin. Good ball control, uses his body quite impressive against experienced players to cover the ball. Good speed to make 4-5 meters in cetral midfield, to overrun defensive lines and create new situations. Good passing skills, and most important of all, he has the view for situations. Although not everything is working out, he shows the right decisions, something that is more worthy than all other skills he got. And all under the circumstances and standards of a 18y old.

So you got (and that without any disregard) a player who is personality of 1 vs 1, strength and power. An you have a player that shows great indication of beeing a smart player, a player with view, capable of building up a play.

If you now look at what our play is needing for almost a decade (besides the glorious days in 2010, where Motta worked it out), its the player bringing offensive structur to our game, from a deep point in play. Kind of offesinve pendant to Cambiasso, his strenght in defesive organisation as offesive skills, and the package of Cuchu offensive class in defesive allrounder qualities (this sentence understandable?).

What i want to say with my (longer that i wanted) post is, from the type of player Kovacic might fit in an more offensive role. But putting Guarin back and Kovacic up front, might give Kovacic other possibilities (on short view), but doesn't strenghten Guarin or the team. Not on the short view, neither on the long.

--------------------------------------------------update-------------------------------------
And besides: I get that problem "(a lot) new users -> quality miss". I know this from other places. But without wanting to judge my own share in fif, i think there are always new ones, that are willing to contribute on quality discussion as well. I think its just important, on whom you put your personal focus on.

repeated offenses should be infractions. certain people just take it way too far and annoy everyone tbh.

Fantastic! That`s what I was trying to say. Couldnt have say it better!

Kova imo would be more useful for the team upfornt. In Serie A you cant rely on a small young kid to be your first wall of defense in front of the defense line. it`s a place for Cambiasso or Gargano or even Guarin.

Being so creatively talented and play so deep could only work in France or Spain. but in a more tactical league as Serie A, I think he should get to play upfornt, and leave the defensive game to the masters of defense.

But It`s not like I completely hate his role, however clearly against strong team, we cant rely on him there. maybe when he gets more playing time in Serie A and gets more experience we could.

God, I wish he would have decided to play for the Austrian football team. His family came here to flee from the war - that would be the least thing he could have done for us. :D With him and Alaba we would have had already two players in our team that could play football.

At least he was able to bring a two site story about Inter in our sport paper where he was praised as our new saviour in times of trouble (while always pointing out that the played for Linz). :D

Internet forums aren't the ideal place to have deep philosophical discussions about the nature of the game. It's 99% trolling/sarcasm wherever you go
