he was not that bad at the euros as people make out, he was quite good in the 1st 2 games and was bad against spain because he was played as a wide midfielder and not as a full back a position he has never played, and if his value drops to somewhere near 7 million we should get him.

A little to far? I agree that he was really good deal, not many expected him to be as bad-ass as he developed into. Most people just saw him as sub to J.Zanetti. And replacing him is nearly impossible. (M.Isla would of been perfect replacement, but that's not possible any more.) But best attacking fullback of all time? Robero Carlos, Cafu, Giacinto Facchetti and Nílton Santos say hello.

I want all 3 and let them fight to win their starting spot. Hell even let Faraoni fight for time too. No player should be an automatic starter and that is my big beef against our veterans in this team. When Stanks plays just because he is a vet it really pisses me off.

Why get a fullback as replacement? Didn't Branca announce last year that Jonathan was going to "tear up" Serie A? Isn't Jonathan supposed to be the replacement for Maicon?

You guys make it sound like JZ is shit and only starts due to his legend status at the club. Based on what I saw last season, I'd start JZ over Nagatomo, Faraoni, Chivu or Kolarov any day of the week. JZ had some good assists last season, more than usual if I remember correctly, and he was as defensively dominant as ever. Despite the fact I like him as a player we don't need fucken Kolarov. Or Debuchy.
