It is seen that Genoa have already agreed terms with Inter and that it will be an initial season-long loan for the Argentine, with a purchase option also included.

This was one of the biggest recent mistakes .... payed 8m for him with closed eyes and now we are loaning him again... just like with Pereira...

Matías Silvestre has contract until 2015, so this means we will see no cash return for him! Option to buy is just media bullshit.

I like the idea of Osvaldo beating him, his face kinda asks for fists... but he's a fellow argentine, so he's safe I guess. I just hope he vanishes from our squad! I secretly hope Allegri asks for him :troll:

What's the lesson to be learnt here? Don't sign shit players on long contracts with high wages, Such contracts should be the exception rather than the rule and reserved for those players who can contribute and make a difference by way of their inclusion in the starting eleven. Moratti agreed appealing contracts with most players which is why we can not get the likes of Silvestre off our books. Having said that, I don't care if he leaves on a free transfer at the end of the season. He does not deserve to wear our colours and I would even go as far as paying a club to get him off our books. I can't wait for the day when he is no longer owned by Inter.

His performances at Palermo were solid and bordered on the commanding. But that all changed when he arrived at Inter. The Silvestre that played for Palermo was a presence on the field. The step up to a big club and the expectations that came with it ruined him.
