Genoa are reportedly a step away from agreeing a deal to bring in Inter defender Matias Silvestre on an initial loan deal.

The centre-back is seen as surplus to requirements at San Siro again this summer and the Grifone are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal for him.

This is according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old’s agent is now in discussions with Rossoblu officials over details to the move.

It is seen that Genoa have already agreed terms with Inter and that it will be an initial season-long loan for the Argentine, with a purchase option also included.
