Write long ass like brehme? Don't make me laugh. I disagree with him a lot but at least he knows football. You are too stupid to write such posts :)

Eriksen made official. Politano to Napoli official. Gabigol to Flamengo official. Christ, what a great day. The only damper is the news that Vecino is likely to stay.

With Eriksen coming we have finally added a top 5 player in his position in the midfield. That's been missing for a decade.

We currently possess a top GK, rank him wherever you want, but he's the best :)
Three top 15 center backs in the world but only one of them is playing as one unfortunately. But he's playing as a top 3 CB out there.
A definite top 5 central midfielder in Eriksen who can be rivalled only by Modric, fucking Pjanic and De Bruyne at this point followed by Kroos, De Jong, Pogba, Milinkovic-Savic and a few others around that calibre.
Two top 15 strikers in Lautaro and Lukaku which is good enough since we're playing with two up front.

Our midfield roster is finally on par with being Scudetto worthy on paper. Last time this was the case was in 2012 or something. Still lots of room for improvement of course, but that can be fixed with at most 2 transfers now.

The main issue is providing rotation players for this core of players. And that's not been handled very well recently but hopefully we'll have better ideas and execution in the summer.

P.S: All that's left is a world class coach now :datass:

Marotta: how many signings do you want in this January transfer window?
Conte: yes

it's finally a team to challenge rube. the only problem are the wings.

hopefully we use Moses / Candreva / Young / Biraghi as they were some kind of animals, exploit them for 45 minutes in each game and always sub at the half time or around minute 60'.
third substitution can be a midfielder or a striker coming in for tactical reasons, but first 2 subs always the 2 wing backs

these 4 animals are Biraghi, Moses, Young and Candreva.

One missing piece we don't posses is quality DM or some warrior type of player like Vidal. I though we will go for Tonalli in the summer, but he makes zero sense now. He is Brozovic/Eriksen combination, we don't need him.

It's not one missing piece or two, it's several. But at least we're making noise. That's what was missing. But at the same time when you combine that with Victor Moses and Ashley Young it seems like a fluke.

True , but I guess that's the point. I mean, I am fairly sure young and Moses weren't Conte's first choices, but marotta must have told him that the funds were limited. So we used most of the budget for Eriksen (understandably so), the rest for cheap options.

We have a lot of wingbacks, so at least Conte can squeeze every last drop of energy from each of them.

A Vidal/Kante and a Sadio Mane, then we are good for all sort of Trophy.

We need Giroud. There are rumours that there won't be any incoming transfers anymore as management thinks that the rose is complete but I am not sure if we can rely on Esposito as a 4th choice striker. One major injury to Lautaro and we are screwed. It is true that Lazio are incredibly lucky to have 2 CFs who don't get any injuries but I don't believe in our luck. We can play 3-5-1-1 with Eriksen behind Lukaku in case of emergency but this is undesirable scenario. We will most probably get to EL quarterfinals plus Coppa semifinals if we beat Fio tomorrow and there are just too many games for Lautaro-Lukaku duo.

Conte will get his man, just be patient. We got lots of money for barbosa and politano and Conte needs a similar player to Lukaku. Esposito is not it.

Lukku and Lautaro looked tired and I think we defintely need Giroud if we are to finish the season in one piece.

They will be even more tired when they play alongside Giroud or Llorente and have to do all the work.

Well Ibra looked to have more energy than lukaku. So I highly doubt that Giroud can be slower than lukaku. We need one more striker to give Lukaku and Lautaro the incentive to work harder or lose their spot. Otherwise, their performance against Lece and Cag will continue.

I'm fairly biased towards Sergej (Falcao law) but you really overrate the guy if you put him in that bracket. Maybe in talent sure but he's not even performing as the best midfielder in his own team. He has way too many games where he's totally passive and doesn't even want to play.

If that is the case then Pogba should be relegated to the Nainggolan category.

He just needs a better environment.

So we're at least not getting Giroud, according to GdS.

Interesting decisions. The management is playing with high stakes if they are really going to run with Esposito as the Lukaku backup.

Giroud is a turtle when compared to Lukaku. I'm not Lukaku's biggest fan, but the man is deceptively quick. When he starts sprinting (like he showed against Cagliari from our own half) not many defenders will catch him.

I agree we need a striker to provide competition, but Giroud, Llorente and Petagna definitely won't. Someone like Mertens however might.
