And their main focus is to keep Lukaku, which can only make us worse.

Because:
a) It's fucking Lukaku and he's getting older and more useless
b) It costs a lot of money
c) It requires some sacrifices we're in no position to make, roster-wise
d) He's probably going to become a toxic player for the locker room, with his big ego, no self accountability, high salary and his general attitude.


First step is to cut the Lukaku cord. Even with Suning, I think we're in a position to compete. As long as we don't make stupid mistakes. Such as retaining the big guy.


Then we need to cut the cord with players like Dzeko, De Vrij, possibly Handanovic if he doesn't retire, and a few others that cost too much and won't be in a position to offer what their deals reflect.
