This Santon deal has been the most disapointing for me during this summer.
I can justify everything we have done so far but not this .

What i see behind this deal is a club in desperate need of money . A club that not only is ready to sell every player it has no matter of the importance of him but a club that will sell for any amount of money just for the sake of gathering money .
This situation is going far away the financial aspect of football. Or better this is not a football club anymore . We are dealing here with a financial corporate which in time of crises is ready to fire every employee it has to, no matter of how important he is for the job he does or for what he represents in the corporate politics.

I have been very positive until now , defending the board and their decisions so far but this Santon deal really disapointed me . Not because Santon would be important for our season or our winnings but because what this represents as i said above.
He was not old , didn't recieve high wages , didn't create problems in the team , wasn't aksing for regular starter and most importantly with 6M you can't do anything you couldn't without them .

Anyway i will still hold to reserve final judgements for our mercato team waiting to see how this 6M are going to be used in this 2 days left but looking at how things are going i have the feeling that i know where this money will go .... {fucking palacio}

I am fine with this deal as long as we have a right to buy him back. If not, he'll probably be a Milan player next summer.

This Santon deal has been the most disapointing for me during this summer.
I can justify everything we have done so far but not this .

Hah... I mean... funny to be OK with losing Eto'o, but Santon leaving is a big problem? Santon still has potential, but I'm sure the staff are getting frustrated by his lack of development. Factor in the emergence of Faraoni, and he is fairly expendable. I don't mind cashing out.

Overall, feeling very good about the Forlan and Poli moves. (Remember when I said at least two more signings?) Still probably more to come, tbh...:slick:

don't worry so much, yea he wouldn't have been demanding a starting position, but for all you know he decided he wouldn't get enough game time and ended up wanting to leave

we've essentially replaced santon with Jonathan, and there's no reason to assume jonathan is a worse player than santon from the little we've seen so far

So you think that it was him that wanted to be sold and not the other way around. You're wrong , he loved this club and even in jaunary when he left on loan he declared that he hoped to be back as soon as possible.

I said it , i didn't expect him to deliver this season and i'm not worried at all about jonathan . The reason i was disapointed are others and as i mentioned i'm waiting to see how are we going to use those 6M in order for me to give the final judgement

After the ManU games I thought Santon is predestined to greatness. He was so bloody impressive. It's amazing he is so regular 2,5 years later. Our management sees him on daily basis, maybe their evaluation is, that he is not going to be the player it seemed he'll be 2-3 years a go. I don't know.

Still, I'm kind of dissapointed that we sold him. He is still just 20.

Damn, August has 31 days. I had thought that it was a month of 30 days and had been thinking - thank god, one more day. Damn, 2 days' really long for us; as we are well known for last minute big moves. I just hope that we bring in quality players and not get rid of Sneijder at any cost. Milito-Muntari-Rivas-.. on the other hand are more than welcome to go.

yea i'm saying there's a possibility. we have too many fullbacks for him to probably get decent game time. naga, jonathan, chivu, zanetti, maicon and santon is a lot. i'm sure in an ideal world he wanted to stay and fight for his place. but in reality you can't ignore the competition for places.

You will regret that Sokrates. Mark my words.
Sokrates is right. Branca is incompetent. Why does MM keep him eludes me. Keep in mid that he lobbied for Benitis and for Gasp and they were disasters.
