Cavani is just a hot-streak player. Napoli's success is all about Lavezzi, not Cavani. I still don't rate Cavani anywhere as high as probably most of the people who just watch "OMG he scores so much".

Same here... When Lavezzi doesnt play, Cavani sucks. He needs someone who can open space for him, as every striker.

He proved me wrong though, i thought he will be flop in Napoli. But i guess that tactics suits him well.

Yeah I also admit I didn't expect Cavani to score that much goals. But the goal count tells more about the team around him (specially Lavezzi) than how great player he supposedly is.

Back then 15m€ for Cavani would have been a good deal, now afterwards I admit that. However we have Pazzo now and we got him almost at the same price (12m€ + Biabiany who we paid around 5m€?), so speculating about Cavani is useless. I think I wouldn't even swap them if there was a possibility to do that (without money involved).

Cavani >>>>>>> Pazzini. It's not even close.

They are different types of players.. Although there is no doubt there's more to Cavani, Pazzo would be boss to if he played there...

No, he wouldn't. A lot of Napoli's success come from the fact that Lavezzi, Cavani & Hamsik are all very mobile and all work very, very hard. Pazzo wouldn't fit in.

The reality is, when we were looking at Cavani, it was to play ON THE WING in the 4-2-3-1 because Milito just came off a brilliant season and nobody expected him to just go to complete shit. Do you think Cavani would be effective on the wing? That's where he played at Palermo and was.....meh...nothing special

So honestly, I feel no sour grapes about that deal. Napoli scouted him to play striker, so good on them, but we were looking at him to basically put Pandev on the bench.

Also, to me, he is still playing @ a club without that "big club" pressure, where expectations are sky high always. Napoli is still by all means a smaller club, and just "doing well" is considered good for them, whereas, for us, "doing well" is not enough. Like Zarate is finding out now, playing for a big club is a much bigger deal psychologically and can affect your performance.

Good point about the "big club pressure". Even if Napoli has risen their stock considerably in the last years, they are still on another echelon compared to the traditional big teams in Italy.

Cmon king, only Milito would not play better if he had Napoli's midfield behind him. Yes Pazzo wouldn't be as mobile, but Pazzo is a little more better positioning wise and finishing wise..

Pazzo plays for Inter and Cavani for Napoli. Pazzo is also italian so your never going to get people here to admit Cavani is way way better.

As for their midfield being so much better.... we had the same exact midfield when we won the Champions league. This Napoli midfield got rapped by Porto last season in Europa League. Cavani is not even a player we should be talking about there is no way in hell we will even bring him in other than 10 years from now.

Even then Luis Suarez >>>>>>>> Cavani. He is also cheaper and has the hand of god on his side :)

Cavani is better as an overall player.. I wanted Cavani for our left wing and I'm pretty sure we would have got him if mou stayed on..

But Pazzo has certain qualities too, which are right now better than what Edison has...

Serious rumour that I've heard by a local journalist (close to Inter things),he said that Ranieri targets are wingers not central midfielders (he believes in Poli qualities),he wants at least one winger. After Juan and Kucka (both are almost certain to come in january),we'll see who could come,at the moment there's only Vargas available on the market at cheaper cost but his age is not into our parameters of youngsters politic (he's 28),my dream would be Reus. :eek:blivious:

Who would you rather have on your team? A player like Cavani who works hard, can create goals for others and for himself, who get's in good positions, who scores from awkward positions...or a player like Pazzini, who's only really useful in the box?

I am pretty sure that Cavani is miles ahead of Pazzini. Cavani is not so static like Pazzini and Pazzini ain't good like Vieri as well. Well, we have Pazzini and he has scored good goals for us but he needs good support as well. :)

Depends on how my midfield is... No doubt we need Cavani more with this Inter squad..

But it doesn't mean Cavani is a better finisher or even close to as deadly in the box...

I doubt that, Tevez to Juve, he's better than that

They are 1st with 1 game less..... like 10 points ahead of us. I prefer he go to Juve than AC Milan who is way too stacked. There are other strikers in the world than Tevez. If he goes to Juve it's way better for us/the league than him going to Spain, Germany or France. A crazy stacked AC Milan and Juve will just make it harder to be champions which will help us come Champs League time
