Milenkovic is better than Skriniar as an outside CB in a back 3, no doubt about it. He can even play as a full back hence why he’d merge perfectly for Conte. Having said that in a normal back 4 he’s not even close to Skriniar. The question that remain is how much better can Skriniar get in a back 3? Because this is the reality, Dumbo is gonna start ahead of him this week-end. I don’t want to head into this season with Dumbo as a starter...fuck that shit.

Worse case scenario will literally be we sell Skriniar and Conte leaves next season which tbh is more than likely. So yeah I’m torn on this one

P$G should be able to pay the asking price, however Leo seems to be more interested in getting Koulibaly.

I read somewhere from this forum if Fiorentina want to sell Milenkovic for 40 mil?
So there is no point for selling Skriniar for 60 mil and buy Milenkovic for 40 mil for his replacement.
Why the fuck do Inter even consider this?

It is different story if we can sell Skriniar 60 mil and get Milenkovic for only 20 mil (assuming if he is that good like some people said)

I dont know how good Milenkovic is, but I read that some clubs like Milan are also aftering him, so it means he is not that shit.

For Skriniar, I believe he is good, but he is not great either. To me, his outstanding season only came in his first season with Inter.
He is even so so when he was with Sampdoria.

Fiorentina asked 40m from Milan so Maldini came out and said they are not after him.

I expect some deals to happen between the clubs, as Fiorentina could take some of our players (like Dalbert/Nainggolan) on the market. We will never pay 40m for him, so no worries.

Roma bought Kumbulla in a very smart deal, so we might go for Darmian and perhaps Smalldini once we finally offload.

bit off-topic but am I the only one considering D`ambro does not deserve to be called Dumbo any more? I mean he came a long way in these past years, earning his place in the squad <insert reaper image here>

I would take milenkovic for 20m + dalbert
Not that i agree with fiorentina’s 40m valuation of him,
But because dalbert is worth zero in my eyes

I hope PSG come and get him for 60m and be done with it. I don't think Tottenham pay 60 for him and I'm not sure they are a very desirable place for him to go. In PSG he can win titles and probably earn more.

Meh, I appreciate the fact that he gives it his all but there is no way he should be a starter for any team aspiring to win trophies. In the final an injured one legged Ocampos sent him back to Torino.

Sacrificing Skriniar just to sign Kante who is almost thirty is extremely foolish. How many mistakes does Marotta need to make to be fired?

I don't see this happening at all tbh. Tottenham won't offer enough money. Fiorentina is asking a lot for Milenkovic. Makes more sense to keep Skriniar and see where we are next year.

Whether it's happening or not, there are confirmed ongoing negotations for Skriniar and Ranocchia, Godin is gone.
Are our available CBs (no devrij) even mentally prepared for the real test against Fiorentina...?

Agreed and no one knows when Conte loses his temper yet again (and hopefully decides to quit or he is fired) and we are stuck with two or three expensive players who aren't worth much.

Everyone are so disappointed about Conte leaving in year or two and Skriniar will be somewhere else. So what? He had some terrible games with 4 at the back as well, he was completely terrible for Slovakia against some Croatian league strikers and he's hugely overrated on this forum.

He's good player with great personality but he's not Nesta.

Sky Italia: Meeting today in Milano between Tottenham and Inter for Milan Skriniar. Spurs won’t match €60m price tag - Skriniar value according to THFC is around €50m add ons included. No agreement atm. Talks on. Ruben Dias still a serious option.

Less than 50m for Skriniar is a ridiculous offer though I wouldn't be surprised with anything anymore.

We should stay tough now. Levy requested 20m€ for Eriksen 6 months out of free agency. He got it. There is absolutely no reason for us not to keep requesting 60m€ for Skriniar who is like tailor-made for EPL and Mourinho.

We will anyway end up paying dearly for Milenkovic anyway so some 50m€ for Skriniar would be just fucking ridiculous.

We need to hope Skriniar rejects the move.

Nah. When Commiso asks for crazy money for Milenkovic we will sign Smalling as Skriniar replacement. We're going full banter mode in this mercato.

Apparently we’ve accepted the offer of just under 50mill. Will be a fucking farce if so, we paid those cunts the full 20 for Eriksen whose contract was about to expire. Hold for the 60 or at least a bit under that

Haven't seen a single source say we've accepted anything.

Anyway, here's the thing. This guy

I wouldn't sell, ever. The best 1-1 defender in the league, charismatic, a leader, 4 goals in Serie A, literally grabbed us by the balls and won us a game when we were in one of our typical post Christmas party slumps. Loves Inter and negotiated his own contract to stay with us.

Haven't seen that guy for about a year and a half though. In a market where no one has actual cash, and when you're starting to doubt whether Skriniar's actual level is what we saw in 2018 or what we saw in 2020, it's normal to consider taking a 60m offer. That solves a LOT of problems, since Skriniar is a walking plusvalenza these days IIRC.

However, I'd keep him, obviously. He's my favourite player on the team. If Godin could adapt to the RCB role so can this guy, and I really want him to captain us one day. I don't know where that grinta he used to have has gone though. His head drops along with everybody else's these days.

I’ll take 40-50 million than have him on the bench for a year only to sell for 15-20 next season.

Coach doesn’t want him. I just don’t get why we got rid of Godin if we are going to sell this dude

Maybe we don't want to have a defense. We need only to sell De Vrij besides paying Godin to leave and now sell Skriniar and this quest will be all but completed.
