Well i was too young to follow off-field gossip at the time and in the end we ended up selling both in that summer.

For what I remember both left because of Hektor Cuper.

£32m plus Dele Alli.. Think i'd have to stop supporting Inter if that happened.

The only interesting swap between Inter and Tottenham would be Mourinho for Conte.

Nah. Conte would probably ask for someone like Sissoko.

Slovakia is not in the Balkans.

Another thing from your post I forgot to quote: Ronaldo and Seedorf both left in 2002 summer. So Ronaldo didn't stay anyway regardless of Seedorf's departure.

I know man, chose Geography over Sports in final high-school exam :D just saying it might be a mentality issue - but secretly hope it`s not that and he will overcome his struggles ASAP.

Yes, Il Drago already mentioned that both left in that summer - infamously shitty mercato. Ronaldo eventually left because Moratti chose to back-up Cuper along with his argentine contigent. I always felt he betrayed the club, because we were paying for his salary during all his injuries and then he just jumped on the chance to leave. Bastardo Ingrato even played for milan afterwards, don`t understand how people still worship him. I mean he did this several times in his career - betraying his previous club by playing for a rival - both Spain and Brazil.

We will reject Dele, we need cash for Kante. Spurs will come up with a better offer, just hope we won`t give in.

The only thing that keeps me calm in this situation is knowing how stingy levy is and knowing we decided to keep perisic over a couple of millions..

Pretty sure it wasn't about few millions with Perisic. They just invented the 12m€ offer because nothing was happening in the deal. More likely it was Bayern eventually deciding they don't want to buy Perisic because his salary is relatively high for a bench player.

You might be right but seeing reports in German media that Flick wanted to keep perisic around and knowing Bayerns financial power it would be weird if they did not make a offer in that 10mio region even if it was just to satisfy the coach that just won a trebble.

Fabrizio Romano on his podcast: "Skriniar wants to come to the Premier League, his personal terms will not be an issue. Spurs will soon make a new bid of around £40M for him soon. He is their first target."

He also said Inter and Juventus are trying to sign Alonso on loan.

I dont think Inter will sell him. The mercato ends in monday, there is no time to buy a replacement.

A first indication is going to be if he is starting against Benevento or not. Personally i am going to give it until Friday. If there are still no news about Skriniar or about Inter looking for a starting defender, then he's staying. We aren't going to sell him if there's no time to find a replacement.

And he's starting. Good sign.

Ausilio: "There was contact with Tottenham for Skriniar but we reiterated to them that the player is not for sale. And we have not received offers for him either. I cannot do anything else besides saying that Skriniar will stay here."

Nothing. We still want to sell him, but we're testing how serious Tottenham are. These 40mln offers will not fly most likely.

Then someone is lying and I sure hope it's not Ausilio.

So he's staying? What's hapenning?

Sky are claiming since Monday a new offer from Tottenham is coming but there's still nothing. Perhaps they're waiting for Inter to drop the price, perhaps they're waiting to secure EL money before making an improved offer or perhaps they realised they can't afford him and they have switched their focus elsewhere. Who knows. It seems he isn't leaving under current circumstances. He wouldn't have played today if the deal was close.

If Skriniar were to stay, he will benefit from a change of mindset. Back then he was the star cos he dribbled forward, played 1 on 1 and scored goals. Now that he's a RCB, he just needs to guard his position well. No bells and whistles. If he could understand that, he would play much more calmly and regain his form.

for the love of God let this man stay here i'm gonna be devastated if he gets sold to fucking Spurs. I got his name on that sexy third kit of last year, printed freshly at the Meazza and I'm gonna go wah wah mode if the only player who's name I got printed on a jersey gets sold for 30m

Best defender today for sure. Every dangerous attack they had came from the left.

He fouls a lot. But who cares. He stops the attack and free kicks don't have the same level of danger than running into open space. But to be fair I see that many of his tackles wouldn't be called fouls 2 years ago.
