Future is starting to look brighter
...analyzing what our options are for the winger/forward/SS role:
Mohamed Salah / Yevhen Konoplyanka [2015] / Erik Lamela / Ivan Perišić / Manolo Gabbiadini / Balázs Dzsudszak [2015] / Roberto Firmino / Yacine Brahimi / Florian Thauvin / Adnan Januzaj / Diego Perotti / Iago Falque / Nabil Fekir / Nicola Sansone / Yannick Ferreira Carrasco
+ the likes of Stevan Jovetić / Marco Sau / Keita Baldé Diao - if you allow me to squeeze them into this category.
I like
JoJo and I'm sure Mancini also likes him, but right now the right decision feels to be
Salah. I mean we wanted him in January too, but Chelsea went all in for Cuadrado and had to "gift" them Salah and for us the Shaqiri deal was a priority/opportunity. But if the "right to veto" clause is true, they are indeed clever - both the club and the player. The player showcased his skills and slayed Serie A for fun, while he can still move to a bigger club. He really looks like a fast, smart and skilled player! I think he would also like to join us, as he probably enjoys Italy more than England.
I would pick Salah because he is 2 years younger than Jovetić, already Serie A proven +
not injury prone.
Loan and 22m i guess, not bad he is perfect for Seria A, Jovetic will have the same price BTW.
I believe we could get Jovetić for something around 18m Euro, but we must aim for the best possible option and the new directors seem to get it.
LOAN with OPTION to buy would be a LUXURY move, I wonder if Mou can pull such a deal for us... I guess it's either LOAN + OPTION fixed at a higher price, or LOAN+OBLIGATION to buy for a slightly lower figure.
I heard Erick called Abramovic for the asking price, but what we really need here is Mancini calling Abramovic to lower the transfer fee
