I believed we can win easily against Fiorentina. We would have - if we could score.

Not i don't think we can even get close to the Napoli goal. But sometimes, as Inter fan, i learned that in these cases, one good moment of a player and we can win. That has happened before, even after 2010, when we will lose three in a row against Cagliari, Cesena and Chievo, and win/draw against Juve or Napoli

its because our players have been underperforming bastards for a long time now. if anyone thinks the quality of our squad merited 6th, 9th place finishes in 11/12 and 12/13, or that our squad is 9th place quality now, you dont watch football.

let alone what happened in the late 90s/early 00s.

Yeah well, i've been saying that for years. Loser mentality, shit coaches, often change of coaches, HUGE shoes to fill in for treble season players, and so on... It's been hard for the players and the management, and the quality of the players is definitely not that low. We should be able to fight for top3 easily, even with last years squad.

I disagree last year's team had Jonathan as a starter.

sure, and fiorentina had tomovic, ambrosini, commper, vargas, anderson, roncaglia, old ass pizarro and joaquin, inconsistent as fuck ilicic. plus gomez and rossi were injured so at one point they had to play ryder matos  plus they were juggling with europa league... and they still managed to finish fourth, ahead of inter who spent 50 million in the transfer window that summer.

of course, I think fifth place was a fair result when you take everything into consideration (mazzarri), but I dont think third or fourth place was as far off as you thought and is far off now (im not talking about "we can still qualify for champions league", im saying our squad should easily be competitive for third place). at a point, roma were stuck with fucken taddei and romagnoli from their primavera in the defense. torosodis and dodo were often their starting fullbacks (aside from maicon). in the beginnning of the season they were playing borriello when destro was injured. dont give "we had jonathan" as an excuse, and to be fair, he was in pretty good form across the first few months of last season.

and note i didnt mention the 13/14 season in my old post. i dont think anyone can argue that our table finishes are representative of what our squad is capable of, though. at least from my perspective, the problems at inter are largely mental. first lets obviously give mancini time and some stability in coaching. then the players need to be stronger. simple as that. the mentality of this team is absolutely horrible. they need to undestand what it means to wear the inter jersey. and thirdly, they need to enjoy their football, which is something most players havent done at inter for years.

There is doubt for Icardi, he is not injured but rather tired. If so then Podolski will have another chance to prove himself.

Inter working on defenses
3 times out of 14 Inter has not conceded in matches. Rannochia will play vs Napoli (though  )

Napoli are unbeaten in their last four meetings against Inter in Serie A (W2, D2).

Inter's last win at the San Paolo was back in October 1997 (0-2) - since then the Nerazzurri have collected only two points from their trips to Napoli.

That's 2 points for 18 years :yao:

Inter are the club most beaten by Napoli in Serie A (34 wins).

Napoli have gone 11 games without drawing - currently the longest run in this competition.

Inter have only kept one clean sheet over their last six league fixtures.

Napoli are the team who've scored the most goals from inside the box this term (39).

Inter have conceded only one headed goal so far this term - a league-low.

José Callejón has already scored three goals against Inter so far in Serie A - more than against any other opponent in this competition.

Mauro Icardi is the Serie A top-scorer in 2015 (6 goals).

Inter have taken 1.35 points per game under RM this term, while they had taken 1.45 in the previous 11 under WM.

2 points in 18 years? Jesus fucking Christ.

To be fair it's more like 12 years or so considering Napoli were in Serie B/C for about 5 or 6 seasons. Still atrocious though.

Napoli Juve and Roma were much better last season thats why we couldnt go into the top 3, Fiorentina doesn't enter into it.

It should be our priority to find new replacements for Palacio and Ranocchia this upcoming summer.

Rocchi was suspended back in 2011/2012, after refereeing Inter Napoli 0-3, for giving Obi a BS red and Napoli a PK for a foul 3 metres outside the box.

Isn't it amazing, despite how many times he has been suspended/banned for fucking our games up, yet he managed to being appointed to officate our matches, not to mention the big ones, first against Juve this season and now Napoli.

Time for the Christmas tree formation tbh, Palacio, Shaqiri, Kovacic up front.

Podolski is useless.

(Now he shall go on and score a hat trick)

probable Inter (4-3-1-2): Handanovic; Campagnaro, Ranocchia, Juan Jesus, D'Ambrosio; Guarin, Hernanes, Brozovic; Shaqiri; Icardi, Palacio.
